In the Original trilogy Young Luke is instructed by two of the most Famous Jedi in the Order's history. Yet if you had to choose between Ben Kenobi and Yoda, who taught Luke the most pivotal lessons and who was more essential to him becoming the Jedi he would be? Was it his first kinship with Kenobi and his relationship with his father, or was it his experiences with Yoda, his training on Dagobah, and his more expanded teachings in the force? How would Luke have turned out if he was training by one instead of the other

Looking forward to how the new canon treats their early days and I wonder if they'll attempt anything new. 

Some of the environments during the scenes of Order 66 are amazing, especially the planet where Aayla Secura was gunned down. What I noticed in TPM during the scenes where Qui Gon, Jar Jar, and Padme are walking around Mos Espa was how poorly layered and how much the textures clashed with the spacers. They look like they stick out so much, and the when the Neimodian's speak how their words don't correspond to their mouths. 

Don't know if any of you have seen this, but Vader's getting a new Arc where he fights a huge swath of the Rebellion by himself. Vader apparently goes full power:

Call me a fanboy but I'd love to see Vader in just about any film. 

Anything other than how he was portrayed by Jake Lloyd. I would've liked to have seen a gifted young child, who was semi-cognizant of his force abilities and then drafted into the Jedi order. I would've kept his mothers death and what not as well

I don't know if I agree on that one. Even in the earliest of EU works in particular Truce at Bakura, that's more or less exactly what the Rebellion sought to achieve after Endor. I understand that it would inevitably descend into decadence with opportunists like that Borsk F'eyla character, but what exactly were the planets supposed to do for governance afterward? Wouldn't the fabric for storytelling be a bit more difficult to tell with only sovereign planets? I don't know but the concept for the New Republic seems to go back a long way.

Insane how weak they made him in canon, the idea of Vader not snapping Kanan's neck immediately just seems ill-fitting.

Vader need to fight someone who can elevate him since the retconning of the EU. I'm tired of hearing people in debates say Dooku or Mace is more skilled due to fighting more known people (Kenobi, Yoda, Anakin) due to the PT overexposure and repetitive fights he had in the TCW series. He needs to kill Ventress or Maul or someone..

Hardly.

The Plagueis novel, Shatterpoint, Rise of Darth Vader, Dark Rendezvous, and Labyrinth of evil are all highly memorable pieces of the EU. I'd even say they're better than most of the NJO stuff. As for the prequel novels, ROTS'S novelization is probably one of the best books in the Legends canon overall.

No, they showed his mask burned up and desiccated which falls in line to the scene were Luke burns his armor in ROTJ. I wonder if Kylo gets a hold of it or what significance it will play.

That Black R2 astromech was amazing, and that duo of the torture droid and that evil astromech is a good parody. Next issue Vader encounters the two rivals Palpatine has in a potential duel, is it because of the decrease in trust between the Sith? Palpatine in all depictions of the EU seemed to tire of Vader towards ESB-ROTJ.

I love it.

Kylo looks intense, and I loved the mystery of not showing Luke's face. I really can't wait to see the film, and hopefully they throw out some additional material for Kylo towards the premier of the film

I'll see when my copy of #4 comes in. The droids will defeat the Stormtroopers, mark....my...words

Vader's Droid army just has a nice ring to it, and I also can't wait to see who he ends up fighting in Issue 5.

He also needs to kill Darth Maul.

I wish those old Power of the force toys that I grew up buying in the nineties were made better. The newer Vader figures from the Black series to the Vintage collection look truer to how he does, and here is the nineties version where he is broadchested and looks like a Wrestler. 

The Vader comics need some moar feats of him TKing Star destroyers.

PT Yoda I'd take Vodo given how he wanted his students to succeed and wasn't a dumbass.

In the scene where Luke is about to leave to Bespin, Obi wan says he doesn't want lose Luke like he lost to Vader on Mustafar. But did he really mean that as he more or less abandoned Vader to burn up and die instead of killing him for good? He also says he wouldn't help Vader fight Luke, which is odd as he helped Luke destroy the first Death star. How does one interpret that scene given Ben's inconsistency in essentially abandoning Vader to die a slow roasting death?

Those old comics are great looking. As for the stories I'm looking forward to them especially the Quinlan Vos/Asajj Ventress one!

Good thing most of these spoilers only contain certain grains of truth, the only thing I know for certain is that Stormtrooper guy will be defector.

I think the new Vader comics will have a nice bridge between OT and maybe some newer things added to the mix. I saw a promo art earlier and its rumored Vader might end up fighting Ahsoka Tano, and overall at least my impression from the first issue is they're trying to stay faithful to the OT. The settings and stuff are all familiar, and the writers are at least attempting to show the rift between The Emperor and Palpatine that was hinted at int he movies. I'm eager to see what happens.
