IMAX poster, it’s not 100% accurate, but I did it really quick and removed everything but the logo. It’s not that great, but it works.

I made a slight change to the last image, it’s the same poster only slightly modified.

More of my artwork, this was a Return of the Jedi logo that had a watermark in the center. I removed the watermark. It’s a different kind of logo that you’re used to seeing, classic, yet different.

Beloved Carrie Fisher’s Leia in A New Hope black and white portrait in hi res. I had to remove a lot of words off of the picture, it’s the best that I could do.

Episode VIII : The Last Jedi - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *

I must be the only one who liked the Casino scene. It sets up some galaxy world building, (perhaps) sets up a plot point for the next film, provides some relief from an otherwise downer of a film and reinforces the film’s overall theme of failure and learning from your mistakes.

On another note: I do wonder if scenes of Leia shot for this film won’t be used/reworked for the next one. They might have to be clever with what they have but it could be doable.

I know they have lots of deleted scenes, maybe they are going to see what they can do to incorporate Leia into the next film. I’m sure their not, based on what Rian and Kathleen Kennedy said, but you never know. I thought at one point they were based on Carrie Fisher’s brother stating it, and Lucasfilm denying it, so who knows.

Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *
Time

Things I want to see

-Force ghost Luke

-Luke sending Rey to Tatooine to look for Obi-wan Kenobi’s hut to find a crystal for her new lightsaber. I think it would be cool to revisit a previous Star Wars location, as long as it fits within the story. She needs a new lightsaber, why not go to Tatooine as Luke instructs her too. I’m sure his hut was raided, but there might be something hidden, she used to be a scavenger and she has force abilities to find things easier now.

-An awards celebration at the end of Episode IX, much like Episode IV. Rey, Poe, and Finn given medals. No princess, so I don’t know how this can be done now. Ben Solo is still royalty.

-No Deathstar 4, come up with something unique and different.

-Showdown with Rey and Kylo Ren (Green against Red)

-Force ghosts of Luke, Yoda and Ben Solo perhaps or Leia? at the very end of the film. Maybe Kylo Ren doesn’t return to the light side.

There are a lot of possibilities for Episode IX.

Episode VIII : The Last Jedi - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *
Time

I got to see it finally yesterday. It was very, very hard to not see spoilers, because they were everywhere on the internet, I mean everywhere I looked.

This thing has flaws, there’s no doubt about it, but I liked about 65% of the movie. Some of the jokes I could have done without, yes, some are funny, but some feel a bit out of place or awkward (Rose/Finn, I’m talking to you!)

I loved all the Luke/Rey, the Rey/Kylo scenes, but the Rose/Finn storyline wasn’t working. I understood where they were going with the material. I just think it was the location and characters I didn’t like.

STOP HERE Spoilers below

I didn’t like how Yoda looked in the very first scene, but as his scenes progressed, he looked better. Also, he didn’t look like Yoda from Episode VI, he looked a little thinner and not so old. I did love his scenes overall.

I loved Chewbacca and the Porg scene, as well as Luke on the Falcon and R2-D2 playing the princess’ message to Kenobi for Luke again. I also enjoyed C-3PO having more interaction and dialogue in this (the odds of successfully…are 15428 to 1)

I wasn’t expecting Snoke to get killed so easily, thought they were saving it for Episode IX.

Luke, WOW!, where do I begin. I loved his story arc, I wish he had actually been there on Crait, and to be honest, I thought after the barrage of fire he received he used a force shield of some kind. I was waiting for him to knock over all the FIRST ORDER stuff with a wave of his hand, but they went in a completely different direction. I actually thought when Kylo was going to strike him down, he would disappear as Obi-wan did, BOY, was I wrong. When I saw him levitating on that rock still on the island, I was shocked. I think I would have ended the film the moment he disappeared.

I didn’t like broom stick boy, I thought they should have ended it somewhere else.

I went into the movie spoiler free and I enjoyed the surprises when watching the film.

Rian Johnson did a good job, but you have to remember this, he cut over 40 minutes of footage out of this movie, some of the other stuff MIGHT make sense, had he left those scenes in. I can’t wait for the blu-ray so we can get a glimpse of some of those deleted scenes.

I’m very much looking forward to a fan edit of this once those scenes are available.

How about a Darth Maul movie, with Palpatine in a small role?

I would honestly want that over a Yoda film. It could be set say 5-10 years before The Phantom Menace. Bring back Ray Park as Darth Maul and Peter Serafinowicz as the voice of Maul, due to Ray park’s age you would need a stunt double for sure.

The Kenobi <s>Movie</s> Show (Spoilers)
Time

I want the new Han Solo and Chewbacca to cameo when Ben walks into the cantina.

I don’t want Vader…too much is a bad thing. I want characters we either haven’t seen before, or animated ones into live action. I do want to see a better looking Bossk, prefer him or Dengar over Boba Fett again.

Darth Maul would be cool, not sure it would happen though.

Rian Johnson to Head New Star Wars Trilogy
Time

They might take pieces of story here and there from the different lores and come up with their own story, they’ll probably change the names too.

If they go back far enough, we might even see Yoda’s father or grandfather, as they live to be around 900 years old, so who knows.

I do wonder if they will keep certain alien species, like Yoda or Tusken Raiders in this new trilogy, something that we can relate too, something that says, that’s Star Wars, even though it’s in another part of the galaxy and time frame.

Why not just follow Biggs and Tank when they leave Tatooine and join The Academy. They meet up with a younger Porkins and Wedge and eventually join the Rebellion at the end, but Biggs makes a small stop on Tatooine to visit Luke before he meets up with the Rebellion at the end of the film. We all know this to be the Anchorhead deleted scene. You could clean up those scenes and add them to the new film.

Find actors who resemble a young Garrick Hagon, William Hootkins, and Denis Lawson.

Rian Johnson to Head New Star Wars Trilogy
Time

@ChainsawAsh, I think it will be more like this:

•2015: Episode VII
•2016: Rogue One
•2017: Episode VIII
•2018: Solo
•2019: Episode IX
•2020: Kenobi
•2021: Johnson I
•2022: Anthology (Fett)
•2023: Johnson II
•2024: Anthology (Jabba)
•2025: Johnson III
•2026: Anthology (Palpatine/ Crossover/???)
•2027: Episode X (just in time for the 50th anniversary)
•2029: Episode XI
•2031: Episode XII

I mean, how many Anthology films can you really do? Every character in the Original Trilogy? That’s just ridiculous to do one EVERY other year for 12 years straight.

What are your thoughts?

Rian Johnson to Head New Star Wars Trilogy
Time

I wouldn’t worry about getting the Original Trilogy as it was in 1977, that I’m sure will happen eventually, if the deal with 20th Century Fox goes through.

As far as RT (Rian’s Trilogy) I’m glad we’re getting a new trilogy with no ties to anything or anyone. You’re not going to know what happens or who lives and dies. It will be fresh like Star Wars was in 1977. You didn’t know anything about it, so unlike the Prequels where we knew Obi-wan would live, Anakin would become Vader, Palpatine would become the Emperor and Padme would give birth to twins, you won’t know the outcome of these new characters and story.

I knew Disney didn’t just buy 3 movies Ep.7-9 for 4 billion dollars. They saw a lot more potential for this franchise, and I’m grateful for it. I love Star Wars.

Do you think this is right?

2018 Solo A Star Wars Story
2019 Episode IX
2020 Kenobi A Star Wars Story
2021 Rian’s first film of new trilogy
2022 Boba Fett/Bounty Hunters A Star Wars Story film
2023 Rian’s second film
2024 A Star Wars Story film ?
2025 Rian’s third film NOTE This will be the 17th Star Wars film if this list is true.

Yeah, her saber seemed to fake compared to The Force Awakens poster, it’s the same saber, so I made it brighter and a little longer and more colorful.

I had to put the Falcon in there, it works both from the top and bottom of the image, it could go either way, that’s why I used it.

I think for Episode IX, there’s going to be somebody across from Kylo Ren, with a Green lightsaber perhaps? I have a feeling that there will be a green lightsaber somewhere on the Ep9 poster. I have to see TLJ to figure where they are going with this. I will then do a sequel poster with what elements I can find.

I modified the TLJ poster again, this time adding the top of Luke’s hood to the poster, as Kylo Ren’s hood in The Force Awakens poster goes over the outline as well. It’s different, but I just wanted to see what it looked like.

If I remove the logo from TLJ poster, it is going to leave a gap, perhaps I’ll add Vice Admiral Holdo or DJ. I’ll see what I can do. If I do make the change, I’ll just edit this post and add it to the bottom of this link.

Done!
I asked myself, what was missing from the poster? Then it hit me, click the link to find out. I removed the Star Wars The Last Jedi logo.

What I’ve done so far with the Star Wars Episode VII and VIII posters.

I removed the credits from the Battle of Crait on The Last Jedi poster, as well as the logo and credits for The Force Awakens poster.

I do have an idea that I think they’re going to go with for Episode IX, or at least I hope they do it, it would be really cool. I’m going to come up with a few designs and place it next to these. I’ll probably do that this weekend.

Should I remove the Star Wars The Last Jedi logo from the poster? I was thinking about it, this way, it’s just all art. Let me know what you think.

Flipping those shots doesn’t work because the skiff ends up on the opposite side of the barge at the end, which is why they ended up flipping them in the first place

Not being bad at all, but I did notice that and I felt that the Barge had circled around while we cut away to the interior of the barge and it was not a problem at all because enough time passes from the exterior to interior and back to the exterior again allowing for the change of / new position. you can hear the engines also within the interior shots slowing too…

But I did not feel it was an issue. But if you think it’s an issue no worries don’t mind it either way…

I agree… And apparently my brain can subconsciously fill in the gap of how one floating ship can circle another off-screen a lot easier than in can figure out why a flipped Mark Hamill’s face looks so absolutely unnatural on-screen.

I agree as well, I figured they went to the other side of the barge off camera before slowing down. Either way you do it, it will be distracting to somebody. You can’t make everyone happy. I’m fine with either way, so no biggie.
