And CPY
And CPY
I mean, unless they had leftovers just sitting around, why would they not use the new master?
And I imagine with the number of times the 04 disks were reissued, there weren’t many left by 2013.
I’m sure Ewan was thinking the same thing.
I’ve always wondered what these great actors like Ewan and Mcdiarmid actually think of these movies.
I think I might be becoming insomniac. I nod off all afternoon at work, then I stare at my ceiling until 2am when I finally fall asleep.
To upset Frink. Duh.
I’m just happy she’s not dressed like Slave Leia.
Unfortunately, I’m sure anime-slave-leia-rey exists in some low corner of the internet.
How was it? The only solo Fagen I own is The Nightfly.
I love it, yet way too short! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtwESQ_UJYo
Well, that’s only half of it. According to Wikipedia it’s a 44 minute album.

I sometimes watch the SE’s too.
Why?
It’s refreshing to watch them every once in a while.
Why?
'Cause watching a dire piece of shit really puts things in perspective and allows you to appreciate good movies all the more.
I guess this explains watching the prequels as well.
And TFA.

This is one of the things that has always bugged me about all the updates of the OT over the years. If you are going to go to all the effort of adding to/changing the films, erase the old rotoscoping and fix it proper!
What? That’s what bugged you? I for one would hate to see those beautiful sabres erased. They would definitely look out of place in TFA, but in a 1970s movie? BEAUTIFUL
They start out more vibrant but the crystals get old and the color desaturates.
But then regenerate by TFA.
Steely Dan is the best band of all time.

It makes no sense.
Star Wars=Awesome
Anime=stupid
Why is Rey anime??? confused.
That’s why we need to carve their binary code into the walls of the Dead Sea Scrolls’ cave.
But that was a deep post - it was from five months ago.
Yeah, haven’t ventured into this thread in awhile. It was staring me straight in the face.
Man, I heard Tusk on the radio yesterday. We have a great station that plays more obscure songs, so sometimes you get some great deep cuts. Tusk is such a good song.
Is Tusk really a deep track?
Well its not exactly the type of track that gets a lot of airtime on the radio these days.
I guess I only listen to self-branded classic rock stations. I feel like it was a hit in it’s time though. I think of deep tracks as those songs from popular albums that don’t make the cut for nostalgia radio stations to play, or as good songs that didn’t make the hits compilations.
Nice.
Lot of people I know fawn over Rumours, but I think the self-titled album is Fleetwood Mac’s (2.0) best.

Bill Hunt says to expect news re: The Abyss in Blu and 4K in the next few weeks.

We’re forgetting that if this is happening, there has been a leak from a prominent industry person, Landis.
If anything, we’re going to get a 4K version of Star Wars with re rendered CGI
No. You’re going to get a 4k version of the same Special Edition you’ve been watching since 2011.
Isn’t that what he said?
Another “leaked hint” ?

They’re referring here to the OT remastered by Lowry Digital. What stands out is the fact that they’re talking about “grain reduction and dust and dirt removal”, which wouldn`t be necessary if they would’ve to remaster the 2004/2011 versions of the films.
We pretty much know the now infamous Lowry 4K scan is of the negative, which would be the '97. The '04 version is based off a 2K scan of that negative.
my theory is that Rey was cloned from Luke’s hand, hence why the moment she touches Lukes lightsaber she has the flashback back to cloudcity moments before Luke loses his hand
JJ in the cutting room: “Hey, guys, we better change the opening sequence in case Rian wants to make Rey a hand clone.”
Was it the opening credits that the helmet appears? (with some drums and some indistinguishable French radio in the background?)
Yes, and the ending credits as well, with the theme song (including with lyrics towards the end)
Really good film - will have to try and seek it out to watch again soon.
It’s on Netflix now. Hadn’t watched it since a DVD rental a decade ago. Amazing how stunning it looks in HD. Wonderful restoration as well as a fantastic film.
How come I have to do all the heavy lifting around here? 😉
With great power comes great responsibility.
