I think it will get a general release after the IMAX exclusive is over.
APOLLO 11 (2019)
WOW! This is a MUST SEE. Saw this up on a full size IMAX screen. It was glorious. I feel like I was there on launch day. The quality of the film was spectacular so clean and crisp. Almost like it was shot yesterday. I believe it’s only playing until Thursday, if you can GO NOW!
Ho. Lee. Shit.
Visually stunning and suspenseful. You think you’ve seen all there is about Apollo 11, but you haven’t. See it tomorrow before the IMAX engagement ends!!!
Flash Sale Today!!! Just emptied my wallet.
The Graduate, Being There, Being John Malkovich, It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, and Harold and Maude
Seeing on IMAX tomorrow. So pumped!
I always figured he had lost control or at least knew he was going down and used what he had left to take down the destroyer.
Lolita
Meh. Good movie, but underwhelming. Sellers was brilliant though, of course.
Today’s that Polish holiday where you’re supposed to eat a bunch of donuts.
Fat Tuesday is next week.
Except Marxism is not divorcable from revolution. It’s one of its cornerstones.
The other aspects you describe are the Leninist ones which are divorcable from core Marxism.

I’ll be at the Galaxy’s Edge theme park soaking in all the Star Wars I can, seeing Episode IX multiple times in Dolby, and enjoying my Disney+ subscription. Life is short, I am going to enjoy what I enjoy.
Feel free to do that. But try to at least retain some class consciousness and remember what Disney is.
Marxism on a Star Wars board. Seriously?
Of course this was only one Google-image search away. I love the Internet.
Speaking of ownership of studios, I recently got the Blu of Sleeper. The UA Transamerica logo sequence is amazing! A shame it hasn’t been retained on other home video releases, especially 007.
A little research revealed that MGM is contractually obligated to remove any references to Transamerica on all prints per the terms of the sale way back when. It’s only been retained on Sleeper and perhaps a few others because exception was made when the logo is part of the film (in the case of Sleeper, the score begins to play over the logo).
You’d think all this time later, Transamerica would be over any negative association with UA, and they could work something out… but I doubt anyone at MGM cares enough about opening logos to bother.
It Disney didn’t get them, Comcast would have. This kind of thing has been going on longer than most of us have been alive.
For those of you who don’t know, RCA owned NBC.
20th C. Fox itself is the product of an acquisition.
Haven’t watched the Moore films as recently, but they’re too over the top too.
This is great news!!!
Why?
Also unlikely that every star has habitable planets.
But if Luke had stayed behind to finish his training, it wouldn’t have mattered if Leia died, from this point of view.
License is possibly my favorite.
JEDIT: I was thinking of Daylights. Sorry.
Big distinction lol. Daylights is a very enjoyable movie.
Re: License, maybe I’m less forgiving of the cheese because the rest of the movie is so bad and uninspired.
Unless there is also going to be an aggregator thread that keeps everything together for easy browsing, I wouldn’t separate. If that’s in the works, sure.
For example, the tanker truck chase.
Which did you end up watching?
From Russia With Love if you want to watch a great movie.
Goldfinger or Thunderball if you want something a little lighter and more fun.
License to Kill if you are in the mood for a parody.
You asked what Disney sees in him. They see a man who makes movies people want to see. If you can’t understand how this translates to Disney wanting to hire him to make movies, I don’t know what else to say.
I really want to know what it was that LucasFilm saw in Rian Johnson that made them believe he could do this. He has good story ideas, sometimes(they’re kind of hit or miss). But I find his execution style to be all wrong. He’ll come up with an amazing idea, but then play it off a certain way in the film that destroys it. He’s not a great story teller that respects mythology and cultural impact. He’s more of a conventional film maker, with quirks. That’s not enough really to helm a Star Wars trilogy.
Have you even looked at the TLJ box office numbers? Just because you’re didn’t like the movie doesn’t mean his work has no appeal for others.
😂
