How about a new Bond movie already?
How about a new Bond movie already?
Interesting find! Padme never returns to Naboo alive in in Episode III, so what could this scene be? Was Padme’s death originally going to be a hoax to help protect Luke and Leia? Maybe someone should ask Natalie Portman about it.
The original ending of ROTS was shot on location during production of Episode II. It was replaced by a green screen shoot during Episode III proper.

GL: “the original ending looks too real compared to the rest of the movie. Let’s reshoot it and make the background a fucking cartoon.”
You’d think he would have shot the baby Luke handoff both ways (Owen and Beru) just to be on the safe side. Hopefully, we get to see this footage someday.
Oh! I didn’t even notice!
I just feel bad for the original baby who lost his moment of fame.
The first time I read someone refer to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as “AOC,” I thought, “what does this have to do with Attack of the Clones?”
My sarcasm was lost, apparently.
No, I understood you, I was just stating that I really hate green screens.
I know they won’t film in Tunisia, it costs too much.
Not lost on you. That other guy.
My sarcasm was lost, apparently.
Wouldn’t this be easier?

For about 20 minutes until we see him slithering around Han’s ship anyway 😛
The video even had roast in the title…
The closing line is a classic.
In Cold Blood
The ending… holy shit.
Principal photography has wrapped.
Ralph Breaks the Internet is the biggest dissapointment in film since the Phantom Menace
How high were your expectations, exactly?
That is an article of literally zero substance. “They talked about Lowry restoring Mickey, so we presume that 4K versions of the SE exist.” Whatever.
It’s highly unlikely that 4K scans of Star Wars do not exist. And the existence of a Lowry scan of the SE says nothing about other restoration efforts that may or may not have happened.
Move along.
I would gladly give up cardboard slip cases if it meant no more eco cases.
While we’re talkin’ lightsabers, the only thing that bothers me is that they always make the bad guy have a red one. And only the bad guys have red ones. That’s dumb.
Of course, that’s coincidental in the OT, so it doesn’t effect my SW world.JEDIT:
What’s the guy up front doing?? He’s about to be skewered mid-air!
And you could say it continues to work in the ST, because Rey inherited Luke’s, and Ren is A Vader wannabe.
On a related note, Star Wars is better when not everyone and his uncle has a lightsaber. That’s really the biggest problem with that scene in Clones.
Do I want to know how this thread could be NSFW?
George, what were you thinking?

I recently got into Criterion. Picked up a few titles during BN’s July sale and on Ebay last year. Does anyone here know whereabouts Criterion’s annual in-house sale usually falls? There’s a few title I want to add.
kind of fun, non-spoilery article about the puppeteer of BB-8.
Viva Silverwook and Anchorhead! Viva Quebec!
Viva the Viva Elite Blu-Ray cases I just ordered to replace my crappy eco cases so my discs and art don’t get ruined when I move!
I would not be offended in the slightest if they reproduced the original effects by scanning and recompositing earlier generation negatives.
It’s essentially the image Mike Verta has attempted to produce in his project, though the image will benefit from the resolution of a first generation source and more even grain across frames.
And from another thread:

I know it’s an anonymous Redditer, but a 4K release is an eventuality, and a release leading into Christmas and IX makes sense.
One can dream it will contain the theatrical when it happens, whether this year or later. There really is no excuse from a technical/financial perspective not to release the original cut when SW hits the format.
For better or worse, this remains the best evidence out there that an OUT release is going to happen eventually.
Empire is a legitimate outlet, and why the hell would Landis lie about such a thing. If it’s happening, it’s entirely reasonable that Lucas would have known LF’s plans back in 2015.
I would bet on they’re also doing individual packages for each title. Collectors’ edition packaging (steelbooks, retailer exclusives) seems to be where it’s at right now in physical media.
If 4K is happening in advance of IX, I guess we should expect an announcement at Celebration. If we don’t get an announcement at Celebration, then probably not. And if an announcement with no mention of the theatrical cuts, then probably not going to be included. I’d bet if they are including them, they’ll announce it as soon as they announce any release to avoid any potential bad press.
