You seem to be into EU stuff, so I am assuming you want it to fit into continuity to some degree. In that case, who trained this young twenty something year old Jedi who is turning bad? Why is he turning to the darkside, what is influencing him to do so?

From what I have read of the EU, the galaxy is sorely lacking of Sith/Dark Jedi after the death of Vader and Palps, until Luke's Jedi Academy trains enough new Jedi that some start to fall.

Bravo! Another pointless and poorly thought out post from vbangle!

How the hell would it be advertising for TR-47, when this is the very place you can get that stuff for free?

It is like a employee working at a public library telling a patron about a place that rents books out for money. What customer is going to say, "OMG!!! Screw checking out books for free from the library! I going to go pay $2 a day to rent them!!!"

You really might ought to assess your own intelligence before harshly accusing others of being stupid.

It is your story, so you can fit whatever characters in as you like. The Sith are everywhere though, Sith stories are a dime a dozen. You want to aim for something new and unique. You don't want sacrifice story just for the sake of jamming in a character you really want to be in your story (like the Stormtroopers) if they fit in somewhere, that is great, but if they don't, do not hesitate to leave them out.

Same for Luke's son, if he fits, put him in, if he doesn't forget him. This story can take place anytime you want as well. It could be a year after ROTJ if you wanted it to be, or 20 years after. Don't feel like you have to place it at the very end of current EU continuity. Mara Jade could still be a live for you story if you wanted her to be, same thing for Chewie, by just having it take place before their deaths.

So these battle droids take Han and Luke in for questioning, seeing Luke's lightsaber, they realize he is a Jedi and therefore a soldier for the Republic. There are far too many droids for Luke and Han to take on alone, so they decide to play it safe and wait for an opportunity to escape, return to their ship and report the situation to the New Republic.

As it turns out, the situation is worse than they thought. This remote planet is not only home to a remote garrison of battle droids, but was in fact the site of one of the Seperatists droid factories. These droids are following their last orders they received just before the Clone Wars ended: "Defend the factory as it continues production of more droids, and wait for further orders." The planet contains the natural resources needed for droid production, and beyond the droid factory (or perhaps multiple droid factories) it has mines and all other facilities needed to continue producing droids indefinitely, and has been running non-stop for the last 30 some years. The planet contains millions upon millions of dormant droids (and the carriers to take them off planet) just waiting to be switched on so they can continue to fight the war they have been programed for.

What is more, this droid production facility was placed on this remote, uncharted planet to produce special droids programmed specifically for an assault on Coruscant. If they make their move, then it would take all the forces of the New Republic to stop them, and likely that wouldn't even be enough. Either way, we are looking at a massive death toll. Han and Luke are going to have to find away to shut down production, and keep the dormant droids from becoming active. Maybe even activate some sort of self destruct sequence.

Perhaps among the planet full of droids, there is a lone human engineer running the whole thing. A member of the Separatists back during his day, he was left to oversee production and was waiting to hear from his superiors. When he never received any further orders or news, he realized that the Separatists must have been defeated, and has lived in isolation, just he and his droids all these years, now elderly and somewhat insane, waiting until he felt he has enough droids to exact his revenge and take down the Republic once and for all. The Separatists army would be victorious, even if there are no Separatists left to celebrate it.

There is a bit of plot for you (Almonkey had a cool idea actually), take or leave what you like.

That would be something completely different though. If it was explained in the story that Link was somehow thrown through time into the future, then it would no longer be stupid anachronisms like a steam engine in medieval times. Though such a story may be kind of silly, to me it would be forgivable.

That is exactly how everyone else feels, and that is why you have them all so ticked off with what you said. If you want to recover from this, I'd suggest just ignoring their comments and trying to pretend your first post never happened (editing your first post before your original account got banned would have helped too).

Anyway, I am sure many of us would be happy to help you out with your story, only problem is, without having read what you wrote so far, it is hard to offer any suggestions. I am sure you don't want to post your script here for the whole world to read, so if you PM it to me I'd be happy to read it and offer suggestions.

Okami is often compared to Ocarina of Time, and obviously barrowed a lot from OoT's style. And you play a wolf the whole way through. Kind of funny, I haven't played either Okami or Twilight Princess yet, they are both games I have been extremely interested in since their release, but never got around to picking up.

Sounds like we have a very young and sheltered kid here. If that is the case, then it is not his fault.

Anyway, care to try to rescue this thread and your idea by explain what it is you want to do without the whole cult leader sketchiness?

Sounds like you want to make a fan film, you want help from other SW fans, and I am guessing you're trying to avoid the dirty language and corrupting power of the common heathen (and Catholic), probably because your mom and dad are weary of you being on the internet with those types. The world is full of those kinds of people, it is up to you personally to decide what type of person you will be, (or the way your fan film will turn out), not the floatsam and jetsam of the interwebs. In other words, you're pretty safe here, we won't force you to do drugs, smoke, or drink. I am sure plenty of us would be willing to help you with your movie, but nobody is going to be giving you their names and spiritual beliefs.

Anyway, good luck with your SW movie.

I think I probably have a few other ships than what I have written on here, I'll do some more digging and update the list when I find them.

I am really trying to cut back on what I own, so I am willing to let go of some of the duplicates of my loose vintage figures. I have a bunch of Stormtroopers and Gamorrean Guards, several Lograys (the Ewok) and a few Darth Vaders and Chewbaccas. I also have a Greedo with one broken off antenna and a Death Star guard whose head has been glued back on (I'd give these two guys away to anyone who buys any of the other stuff).

LOST
Time

Anyone who has not seen last night's (Apr. 1st's) episode, "Whatever Happened, Happened", there are spoilers for that episode below.

Aright, so I was off a little bit, but I was right about Ben living and but it looks like I am wrong about Ben remembering everything. And I was way off about Jack helping him though.

If he remembered everything, then his obsession with Juliet (who is the one who wouldn't give up and let him die), and his harshness in using Sayid as his hitman. But from what Richard said, he will not remember any of the events surrounding his injury (cop out way of avoiding the issue). Kind of funny that it turns out Sayid's shooting Ben is what turns him into the monster he becomes.

A lot like that episode of The Outer Limits, where the girl goes back in time and kills Hitler as a baby, only for the woman in charge of taking care of baby Hitler to go buy a gypsy woman's baby from her in order to keep Hitler's parents from discovering that their son was kidnapped and murdered, which ultimately results in the historical Hitler we know.

Time travel, being a fictional concept, has no law saying it must be done via technology (sci-fi) or magic (fantasy).

Cameos don't bother me, nor do easter eggs. Because they are just that, cameos and easter eggs.

As for Twilight Princess being a ripoff of another werewolf game (I don't know what the other game is, Bloodmoon maybe?), lycanthropy has been around a lot longer than video games. Ripoff or not, I think the use of that concept is fair game.

But then again, when the man has released almost as many documentaries about how cool he is as he has actual movies, what more can we expect?

Wow! For many years I had suspected that I was not the only person in the world who didn't think Kevin Smith was a god among film makers, but I had never known for sure. Good to know I am not alone.

Was a funny story though. Because my only exposure to Hayden has been SW, I tend to see him as the whiney type. Never having met him personally, or having seen any interviews with him where he was talking about anything but Star Wars, I really can hold any kind of opinion of him that even pretends to be realistic.

Although how famous was Bale back when AOTC came out?

He had been in a lot of high profile movies by that time and his name was well known. He had been in Disney's Treasure Island with Charlton Heston, Spielberg's Empire of the Sun, American Psycho, and The Newsies, to name a few off the top of my head.

In 2002, the same year AOTC was released, he starred in the (semi) Fahrenheit 451 adaption titled Equilibrium and was big enough to have his name advertised on the movie poster (though I think the movie was a bit of a flop, I for one rather liked it).

I meant those roles defined him. For the rest of Harrison Ford's life, people see him as his defining roles.

DarkFather said: Needless to say, he wasn't an unknown when cast as Indiana.

Right, but Jones is basically Han Solo in Earth's 1930's. A lot of people don't want to admit that, but it is true. It was a risky thing to do, but ended up working quite well.

Those two characters (Jones and Solo) are very different in back story and position in life, but their personality is very much the same. Indiana Jones could almost have been in a Marvel What If comic titled, "What If... Han Solo Were Born In 1930's America".

I think you got a little too hung up on my Harrison Ford comments. My point was, Anakin Skywalker, Bruce Wayne, John Connor, all very similar characters in some ways. I for one think it is lame when the same actor is constantly pasted into the same sort of role in big blockbuster flicks. Simply put: Bale overload, bad.

But had he been Anakin instead of Bruce Wayne, I have the feeling Star Wars wouldn't have boostered his career as Batman did. Rather it would be something he'd have to fight to overcome, like McGregor and Portman.

I think Lucas is wise in sticking with relatively unknown actors. Better to have people saying, "Oh, Anakin from the Star Wars movies is in this new movie" rather than, "Oh, Batman is playing Anakin in the next Star Wars movie" (yeah, I know I am a bit anachronistic there).

When you use a known actor, he already has an identity in the audiences mind. If you go with a relatively unknown, a few people will have seen the TV show he was in, but for the vast majority of the audience, you and your movie will be creating his identity, assuming your movie is an big as Star Wars that is. Harrison Ford will be either Han Solo or Indiana Jones until the day he dies, no other role will ever change that.

Besides, Bale seems to have become the default go to guy for dark brooding hero roles. Glad he wasn't grow'd up Ani, it would be like casting Harrison Ford as the hero in an adventure film like The Mummy, it is too easy of a casting choice and it becomes redundant. Of course, if he had been cast in Ep. II, it would have been before Batman, which would mean someone else would have played Batman, and that would have sucked. Definitely could have done better than Hayden, but I don't think Bale was the man for the job.

Im not trying to create a counter culture here, I'm really not. I also dont suggest that we start making TV shows about any of you and saying it would be dumb. I don't recall attacking anyone around here personally, just disagreeing with their opinions.

Axia, we were just making a joke with the TV show thing, we didn't mean any harm by it. I promise. Go-Mer-Tonic was an old poster who use to defend absolutely everything Lucas did. When you jumped in and said that the LFL was awesome for the continuity thing, it reminded us of that. But really, Gomer was a pain in the ass and a bit of a troll who would start long arguments about everything. You are nothing like him.

Maybe I was wrong about the counter culture thing. Really, it is okay to admit there are things about Star Wars you don't like. No one will use it against you later as you once seemed to suggest in another thread. We are not at war, or even at odds here. We are just a bunch of fans discussing SW. You can like somethings, and dislike others all you want, no two of us here feel the same way about everything. I often profess my love for Shadows of the Empire, while if you have noticed, it is a pretty hated bit of EU around here. I don't care what they think about it, I love it.

Sorry if we made you feel bad about the TV show comment, I for one will try to be more careful about that in the future. This community is pretty small and I feel that every member around here is valuable (with the exception of trolls) and I'd hate for them to leave because they felt they are not welcome.
