OMG, please tell me this is NOT true - "I am your father" dialogue...
Time
Hehe I can just imagine Lucas one day deciding that that particular line wasn't what he originally intended it to be, and decides that it would be a great improvement to add the word "Luke" into the line. Something he was unable to do during the filming of the movie due to time/budget/technology restraints of the day.

I am getting close to beating God of War (I think) I am the battle with Ares. Pretty hard, but I only gave it a couple of tries, I had been playing for a while when I got to him and was getting tired. Man, that is a really good game. Really brings me back to the good old days when graphics were crap (but we didn't know that at the time) and game play was the point of focus. GOW is really easy to get into from the very first level and keep you hooked. Not overly hard, not overly easy. I am looking forward to playing the second one when it comes down in price.

No, the whole point of SW is for Luke to redeem his fallen father.

The whole point of Star Wars was Luke rescuing the princess and blowing up the Death Star.

Exactly! Unfortunately Anchorhead, I am afraid that there are a bunch of spin offs and prequels and sequels based off that great film known as Star Wars and it has muddled this whole thing quite a bit. But all it takes is going back to the original to see how simplistic the story is, boy rescues girl, saves the galaxy, and everyone has a good time enjoying a great story.

"six-part sci-fi classic"

Since when were TPM - ROTS considered classics?

It is kind of silly all the fuss they make about this stupid thing. It use to be just going to space was a pretty exciting thing, it is funny that now something that is a really amazing feat in reality has to turn to a work of fiction to bring attention to it. Just think how much more this sabre prop is going to be worth once it has been in space.

Dude, what the hell is your problem? All the guy did was comment that he wanted to see it, tried to rent it, but wasn't able to. Just because he commented on wanting to see it but hadn't yet you call him an ass. I think you are the one who needs to be reminded not to be an ass.

Blu-ray Disc or HD-DVD?

But how will they know the player has been hacked? How will the damn thing communicate with them? Are they going to update themselves everynight by wirelessly communicating with the studios? Informing them of your movie watching habbits. I don't find that idea very comforting. Not to mention the potential hazard that poses in the event of a robot uprising...

Fucking format war. Screw the studios.

Exactly.

I am pretty glad I can't afford this stuff anyway, otherwise I might be tempted to have to make a choice, but as it is I don't have any of the equipment to play High def., and I imagine by the time I do the format war will be over and I wont have to worry about it. I do hope Blu-Ray takes it though, I hate when inferrior products cover the shelves thanks to the greed.

What makes you say we would deny it whether it is true or not?

And who ever said atheists were bad people at all, let alone not admit that all of them are not bad. Are Christians trying to put atheists in prison? I have yet to hear of prision sentences being given on either side based on who believes in what. Obviously the terms Santanist and atheist don't mix well. If someone were to be a Satanist and an athiest, then people might as well be Christians and athiests at once. And where did abortion come into all of this?? And who is not accepting who here? I have no problem with atheists at all, in fact, I tend to get along with them much better than most Christians.

Sean, I think you take those stupid "Christian" sites too seriously, as do the people who make them. Most of those sites make me angry too. Most of the people who make those are a bunch of fucking self rightous bigots. Please stop thinking all Christians or theists are like this. Just because somebody believes in God, or in Christ doesn't mean they are a psychotic nutjob. Unfortunately, there is an incredible mass of psycho nutjobs who are theists and Christians.

Religion (and science!) both have a very high potential for being used to rally the masses in order to achieve the selfish means of their leaders. This fact in itself should play no part in someones questioning whether or not their is a God. Even the Bible, whether you believe in it or not, warns that there will be people who will use Christianity for selfish gain. So that can't really be used as an argument for why Christianity is false. I think anyone who blindly follows a religion without ever stoping to ask themselves why they believe what they do, seriously needs to wake up and start thinking for themselves.

Extremely affordable is an extremely relative thing. My TV costs $139 and my DVD player $35. My PS2 was given to me and my N64 is left over from my High-school/College days. There is my entire entertainment center. I guess if I wanted to, I could run out and buy a HDTV and a HDDVD or Blu-Ray player and still have plenty of money to buy food and pay my rent. But from my point of view that is a crap load of money to spent on entertainment. I would consider my $139 dollar or my $35 dollar TV extremely affordable (I would even consider the price difference from my tv to a 50 inch SDTV well within the extremely affordable range), I would consider a HDTV setup a very painful blow to my bank account. I still think the HD route is a niche market at the moment. Once standard def is out of the picture and you can buy an HDTV for $300 or under and a player for $50 or so (it honestly didn't take long for DVD to get that cheap), then I will consider it extremely affordable.

Alright, I have now officially returned from my adventures at the end of the earth. My friend got his PS3 and gave me his old PS2. I have been out of the whole gaming thing for several years, this is my first console since my old N64, and I am really enjoying it. I have been playing Shadow of the Colossus and God of War. RE4 will probably be my next purchase. I actually thought about buying a Wii, but I am really enjoying getting games out of the bargain bin for my PS2, I already have ten game for the thing and I have only spent fifty some dollars. I think I will wait until games start getting cheaper before I buy a Wii.

Nooooooo I haven't, they are about as entirely different as the syntax and style between Ingo Sucks, Darth Cold, and Zigfried. Even their attitude and the way they go about "contributing to the community" are the same. If they really are two different users, I'd have to assume that they are both some how related. Or perhaps they are just both autistic users on an autistic proof website and that is what is throwing me off.

Michael Moore's Sicko

I'd usually agree with you on that one Sean, but in this case it is Micheal Moore we are talking about, you know, the guy who admits to embellishing the truth for the sake of entertainment and yet still has people hanging on his every word. He is also the guy who accused Charleton Heston (you know, that old actor who use to campaign for M. L. King Jr.) of being a racist... With guys like Moore, you really only have to see one of their films and see how full of crap it is before you can safetly assume they will all be that way.

Possible last chapter for Harry Potter Book 7 (POTENTIAL SPOILERS)

How is it that he did not reproduce the book in any form??? The book was very much reproduced. What he did was completely illegal. Low quality images has nothing to do with anything, it is still reproduced. Where did you come up with this technicallity between scanning and photographing? They are essentially the same thing. This is like saying that filming a movie in the cinema is not piracy and is perfectly legal because it is merely a low quality taping of a film and not an actual reproduction of the DVD or a screener.

I am amazed that people are still trying to believe this is not real. The Sun is not the only place where this poped up in the news. The fact that so many of the torrent link to this are dead is pretty good evidence to its authenticity as well. Also that is one hell of an impressibe fake if it is one. If it is a fake, then this guy ought to be a published writer, he is at least as good as Rowling (thats not saying much though).

Possible last chapter for Harry Potter Book 7 (POTENTIAL SPOILERS)
Time
Its real. Nobody would go through that much trouble to fake it this late in the game. A few months ago I would have been skeptical, but at this point the book is in the hands of any number of people. The epilogue is the more questionable part, it is much shorter and easier to fake, plus it does not have a dust cover. But even if you look at the color of the cover, you will notice it is just the same as the one barely visible under the cover of the part Sean posted about [spoiler]Hedwig dying[spoiler/]. I searched google to see if there was anything in the news about a leak, I didn't find anything concrete, but it was funny to see the "burn-them-at-the-stake" attitude everyone had for even alleged spoilers. One person was going on about posting HP spoilers being cruelty to children. Seriously, if you don't want spoilers don't read them. Even the very title of this thead is a "stay the hell away" sign (even without the "Potential spoilers tag) for anyone honestly not wanting to be spoiled. Kind of silly to read a thread titled "Possible last chapter for Harry Potter Book 7" if knowing the ending of said book is going to ruin your life. It doesn't ruin the book. Any countless number of people new the ending to Tom Saywer before I was even born, yet I could still read and enjoy the book in my childhood. Some people are just ridiculous. The only people that should be crying here are the publishers and whoever gets pounced for the leak.

This guy is about the worst pirate ever. Seriously, buy yourself a scanner. Taking digital camera shots of every page is a lot harder to do, and a lot harder to read. Now that I have seen the rar file, I have absolutely no doubt this is real. It would be pretty hard to fake those drawings at the beginning of each chapter too, they are pretty unique. I am now uping my bet from fifty buck to fifty million regarding the athenticity of this. Anybody want to bet against me? I could use $50,000,000.
