I hated it. John felt very miscast, it was full of dumb uncharacteristic humor for a Terminator film. If you watch it back to back with the first two films you can see how very akward it really is.

I hope the next movie will do its best to ignore T3, if done right it could be a cool sequel/prequel. Too bad they can't have Micheal Biehn in it, they could have brought the thing full circle and had John send Kyle back in time.

It is going to be weird going from the guy who played John in T3 to Christian Bale. I think Bale looks much more like a grown up Edward Furlong than Nick Stahl did, Bale also has a much better look and style to play a character like John Connor. I also hope that if John's wife shows up in T4 she is a little less annoying that her portrayal in T3.

I looked at some detailed pictures of the palitoy playset. It actually is kind of cool considering it is mostly cardboard with minimal plastic parts. The trash compactor is pretty well designed for what it is. Also I liked the tunnel near the top and the gun turret. From what I read there were two different variations of this made by two different toy distributors in different overseas regions, on of them was made out of cardboard like the Cantina set, and the other was made out of a heavier material.

When I was a kid I was constantly building my own playsets out of carboard, scissors, tape, and markers. I had a lot of fun with those too. I would also build an "explodable" bridge out of my families VHS tapes. I miss being a kid. I am suddenly feeling the urge to drop all my obligations and responsibilities, shrink three feet, move back into my parents house, and dig out the boxes of my old toys.

I don't think it is that big of a deal in the way a lot of people are making it a big deal. We have been working together with the soviets on many things in the space program since the end of the space race days. Their safety standards these days are on par with ours from what I understand. I think it is ashame that our space program has had a lack of funds for new shuttles to have been in the works over the last several years. If you take a look around, nobody cares anymore. The consesus seems to be, "we have been to space, old news, move on" and that sucks. The general public does not find it as a priority, so it has not been one. The problem with politicians like Bush, it is all about the polls, so I am not surprised that our current big spending government didn't bother to shift enough of their pork in NASAs direction. NASA is extremely expensive, but it is one of those things I think is worth "throwing away" money on.

Bleeding heart dog lovers are not into what is possible or practical. I think if some people had their way American foreign aid would be used to send wheels to every two legged dog in the world. Then to their dismay starving families will kill the two legged dogs for food and trade the wheels for bread crumbs.

You are saying that the mods deleted your posts because you said you liked Revenge of the Sith and they wanted every post to be against it?

Are you sure that is the reason it was deleted? Sounds like paranoia to me. People have gotten away with saying some pretty harsh things against Jay and the mods without having their posts deleted, I don't believe they would delete your post just because they wanted it to look like everybody here dislikes Episode III. There are a ton of people here who have been posting their fondness for ROTS since it was first released, and their posts remain untouched.

As for TNG, I thought it had a pretty good run. Seven years ought to be enough for just about any show, I am glad they cancelled it while it was still on top. The original Star Trek ran for just three seasons, so TNG ran for four years longer than TOS.

Yeah, a lot of people talk about how much cooler toys have gotten, what with vibrating and laughing Elmos and Ernies and all, but I think the things I had as a kid where cooler. The old G.I. Joes were great, especially the vehiclels. I also really like my old D.C. and Marvel comic figures.

They were much more simple back then, but they really felt more worth while that way. A couple of months ago my wife sent me to purchase a Spider-Man action figure for a six year old kid's birthday, I was amazed to see that there was a pretty large number of Spider-Man action figures, and that the vast majority of them were Spider-Man himself, but in slightly different poses or with slightly different special features. One of the had suction cup hands so you could stick him to the window or smooth surface, another one had a big section with a string hanging from it so he could swing. I counted at least eight different variations of the exact same character in the exact same series of figures. When I was a kid there was only one Spidey figure (not counting the symbiote Spidey figure), once you had that one figure you could imagine him doing anything and not feel the need to make your parents dish out more money so he could do something slightly different. The selection was over whelming, and none of them seemed as cool as I thought they should be, so I ending up getting the kid a glow in the dark Spider-Man shirt instead.

I look at this massive selection of and remember how much fun I had with just my Spiderman and Doc Ock figures, as simple and low detailed as they were. I guess it is kind of biased though, probably every kid thinks the things he grew up with were the best.

EDIT: Okay, so I take it back. Some of the modern Spiderman figures kick the butts of the ones I had when I was a kid. For example:

Not exactly sure I'd buy it for my kids, but you have got to be impressed by the detail that went into this thing.

It is kind of like debating whether automobiles or bicycles are the better form of transportation. Sure, a bike is easy to learn to use, its faster than walking, and you don't have to constantly pump gas into it, but it'll take you a lot longer to get to your destination. It takes a lot more work to learn to drive a car and get your license, but once you do it you'll be getting around a lot more sufficently. There is a reason why very few of us know anybody over the age of 16 who still rides their bike to work.

Three more Terminator movies? That is absurd. What a dumb idea. After seeing the show I am more excited about Terminator 4. Before I knew there would be a show, any talk about Terminator 4 made me roll my eyes because of the massive turd that was T3. But seeing the show has kind of got me back in the series.

Anyway, we get the point, you don't like the show. That is good. I dislike my fair share of TV shows too. Do you realize that about half your total posts have been in a thread about a TV show that you dislike so much your heart breaks when people like it? If you are enjoying the conversation, by all means continue, but I think you might find it more enjoyable to discuss things you like. I don't think T:SCC is the greatest show ever made, but being loosely based on a couple of movies I liked a lot when I was a teenager, I am finding it enjoyable and entertaining. It is not on par with the first two films, but no Terminator sequels or spin-offs ever will be.

So deespence, what TV shows do you like? I am not asking so I can attack you for liking them, I am just curious. The only shows I watch are Lost, BSG, and now T:SCC, so as you can see I tend to stick to confusing Sci-fi. I am sure there are better shows out there, but I don't like to sit in front of the TV very much, I prefer reading or engaging in conversation. TV usually comes in when I am too tired to read, but not tired enough to sleep.

Because through torrents you are downloading it through a web of other people's computers. You are limited not only by your own download speed, but by the uploads speeds of everyone you are pulling off of, also at the same time you are uploading bits of the files you have already downloaded for other users. With usenet the file is there on the internet and you can pull it down just about as fast as your download speed can manage.

In other words, torrents are peer-to-peer, which has always been a slow way to go. Somebody with usenet could get SW Revisited in maybe a little over an hour, while you have some people here who have been downloading it off the torrent since the beginning of this week and still are only about halfway done.

New Indiana Jones DVD's - No Blu-Ray
Time
The most amazing thing about this is how long it took them to do it. Just a year after the four disc box set of the SW Trilogy was released they rereleased it with different cover art and without the second disc, just two years after the initial release of Star Wars on DVD they rerereleased it with even more different cover art, a crappy bonus disc with an LD transfer of the films we really wanted all along, and individually packaged. Since the IJ four disc box set pre-dates the SW four disc box set, you'd think they would have released this at least two or three more times than they have already. Just shows you that IJ is not worth as much as SW. Which is why we are fortunate enough not to get a IJ prequel trilogy about Indy when he was a kid or a crappy TV series... oh... wait...

Between that and the thing she said about Nora on Firefly, your wife seems really cool.

As for what Cameron will look like, she has been scratched up a bit before, and her wounds seemed to heal. Maybe she has a special type of skin that can regenerate itself. I am sure they wont want to change the way she looks, I doubt she will take much damage at all. Probably just a few burns. Or they'll replace her with another actress . It would be kind of cool to see her exoskelton walking around for a bit, but that would get old fast and would be contrary to the "light on special effects" theme the show has had so far.

Why do PT defenders and such keep claiming the OT was badly written as well ?!

I have two copies of that kid's book. I always wonder how in the world an eleven year old was able to publish a book. I still wonder that. I got both copies from two different garage sales some years apart, they are completely identical except that one has a dark blue boarder and the other has a black boarder. You have got to love how back then it was just a simple story that was fun to watch. Nowadays you have to have a PHD in Star Wars mythology to write a book like that.

Ha, I didn't even realize that was what they were trying to do! My friend told me who the oceanic six were before the season even began, so I guess I already knew she was not one of them and so I instantly assumed it was a flashback.

It really sucks to have an episode as good as "The Constant" sandwhiched between crap like "Eggtown" and "The Other Woman". Oh well, at least when the show sucks it is not hard to wait a week for the next episode.

I think in season two they will reveal that old John Connor sent his modified Love-o-Matic™ robot back in time as a gift for his 15 year old self... a great gift for any 15 year old boy, with the added plus that it could save his life in the event of any assassination attemps.

It breaks your heart? Don't you think you might be being a bit dramatic? Have you flipped through the channels on your TV lately? There is so much crap out there, there are hardly any good shows at all. Even the shows that are touted as the best on TV suffer from severe issues. Sci-fi shows especially. Look at 'Lost' and 'Heros'? Two big highly rated network sci-fi shows, both of them are flagship programs for their network, both of them with multiple seasons, and they are both chock full of logical errors and poorly thought out story telling. If the top network shows can get away with these things, then I see know reason why a new comer should be held to such higher standards. As for the cast, come on, are they really that bad? I think you are being too critical. Look at ST:TNG, those guys stunk up the set during the first couple of seasons with some pretty rotten acting, any number of other shows have had it pretty rough for the first while as the actors learning their roles. With all the crap on TV these days that are continuing on for years, I really don't think you should be getting your heart broken on account of some people on a Star Wars forum thinking T:SCC should be given a chance beyond 9 episodes. Thinks like pretty girls and family pets getting run over by cars should be the kind of things that break your heart. If you really dislike T:SCC so much, just don't tune in and don't read discussion boards regarding the subject. I hate daytime soap operas and the NFL with a passion, but my heart doesn't break everytime an old woman flips on her TV or every time the guys at work talk about American football.

What? You're joking right? You need a break? With the massive salary we are paying you, you still have the stones to ask for a vacation? We ought to fire you, see where you would be then eh? How would you like to have to do your next edit on your own free time, free time taken from your family after a hard days work? Yeah, didn't think you'd be too keen on that! Now you'll stop your complaining and get back to work immediately, if you know what is good for you.
