I can understand about your phone, it may have been no longer the latest thing but at least it worked, you liked it, if why throw away a fully functioning piece of stuff to keep up with 'THEM!'?

Well, it has always been a lot more than simply practicality on my part. The fact was I had more modern phones at my disposal had I wanted to use them, but I chose the oldest most archaic phone I could get my hands on, mostly as a perceived need to remain counter-cultural to 'THEM!' .

I was once given a free 1st generation iPod Touch shortly after they first came out, and I immediately turned around and unceremoniously gave it away for much the same reason I used to carry around an archaic phone. About two years later when I almost had an aneurysm thanks to my Zune, its ridiculous lack of Mac compatibility, and all the hassle I had to go through on emulating Windows just so I could put a song on the thing, I had wished I kept that iPod Touch. But that feeling was fleeting, within twenty minutes I had purchased a decent used old 4th gen iPod off of amazon, had Windows and my Windows emulator deleted off of my computer, and had banished my poor and previously much loved Zune to the deep dark recesses of one of my lesser opened desk drawers (where it still remains to this very day).

I am still waiting for the day Microsoft stops being e-holes and finally makes the Zune Mac compatible, on that day I may very well run out and buy myself a brand new Zune, as I was a really big fan (though I do still have a bad taste in my mouth from Microsoft essentially saying, "Use our OS, or don't use our product").

What is the DEAL with people using Internehts Explorer?

I actually have one friend who is very stubborn about their insistence on using Internet Explorer (for reasons they won't specify) and they gives me a really hard time for using Firefox. It is actually very refreshing in a contrarian kind of way, to find someone who stands up and defends an unpopular clunky old worthless browser.

Reminds me of when I was still using an old black and white Nokia phone while everyone else was getting their first smart phones, and I'd argue how much better mine was. People would look at me like I was cute for doing so, but we all knew I was being an idiot and was merely attempting to be different (or as I prefer to think of it, holding back the night, as it were, avoiding technological dependence. Behavior that gets me some amused smiles and pleasant attention from time to time, but no one really takes me seriously.)

That made me laugh really hard. But see, my philosophy is, I mean, let's put it this way...

You walk into a bar and there are two really pretty girls sitting on the opposite sides of the bar from each other, both all alone and with an empty seat next to them. The first girl has on a nice tank top that makes her look pleasantly mammalian. The second girl has on a really loose... pleated... top, and there is no telling what is going on under there, like a giant curtain shrouding what may or may not be present beneath it. Do you go for the pleasant mammal, or do you go for the mystery curtain and just hope not to be disappointed...

I have nothing to hide, and my dick can breath at night, so pleats be damned. :)
