Deinterlacing with Avisynth
Time
You can find the latest version of the Decomb package at neuron2.net. I'd advice you not to deinterlace because that way you retain motion fluidity. If you must deinterlace, then the best way available right now is:
For TFF Clips:
Interp = SeparateFields().SelectEven().EEDI2(field=1)
TDeint(order=1,field=1,edeint=Interp)

For BFF Clips:
Interp = SeparateFields().SelectEven().EEDI2(field=0)
TDeint(order=0,field=0,edeint=Interp)
You need TDeint and EEDI2, which you can find at the Doom9 forums.

Making a DVD but what bitrate to use?
Time
I'd advice you to put up to 120 minutes per DVD-R and use the AVAMAT6 matrix. That way you would be able to use an average video bitrate of ~4700kbps and an audio bitrate of 384kbps (AC3 if you can, MP2 encoded via toolame as an alternative). It should look okay. Also, I'd recommend you to use CCE SP instead, in my opinion it's easier to use than TMPG and many people say its MPEG2 encoding is superior. Be sure to properly filter your video as well.

I need help editing a ~6min clip
Time
Like I mentioned in another thread, I'm putting together a DVD about Eric Cantona for my brother. This DVD will have extras that include the most well known Nike adverts in which he starred and there is one in particular that is giving me headaches: The Secret Tournament. Contrary to all of the other sources, this one has many different versions floating aorund the net. After a lot of searching and examining, I settled on two versions and intend to make a single file out of them.
Thing is, I'm sick of the whole process and just want to encode the main feature and start authoring the DVD. I would really appreciate it if someone could download sample encodes of the two versions and tell me which frames to use from which version (like, say, frames 0-1000 of version 1 + frames 60-300 of version 2, etc).

NightHawks (1987 X-Men / Pryde of the X-Men Video to DVD) (Released)
Time
The collection available on MySpleen is not from the project I'm a part of, remember? I told you that on the third post of my project's thread.
I appreciate your offer of including your whole disc in our set, but it's not necessary as we already have the official VHS with the pilot. The Pizza Hut tapes unfiltered captures would be a great thing to include though.

Nice to see another project about the 1992 X-Men series . I am a part of a project to transfer the whole series (including the pilot) to DVD with dual languages and our current snag is finding the latin american dubs (made by mexican company Intertrak if I'm not mistaken). I'd really appreciate it if you could try to help us finding those.

Those Pizza Hut giveaway tapes sound like a great thing to include in our project in the extras section, could you please upload a completely unfiltered capture to a webspace I have available?

Eric Cantona DVD WIP: case and disc labels needed.
Time
I'm creating a disc about Eric Cantona for one of my brothers. The disc will have a television program called "Eric Cantona: Best of Manchester United", a biography, a slideshow and some small videos (commercials, etc). Now, my image editing/compositing skills are less than poor which is why I'd like to know if someone can do it for me. I can provide pictures if needed.
