X-Men: the animated series (1992-1997) (Released)
Time
Here are the results of my latest (and probably final) filterchain for the FLV anime intros:

By the way, I've been thinking about the subtitles, since the release is still going to take some time, would you guys volounteer to create the subtitles? I can provide you with all you need for it, and if you dedicate it only 5 minutes a day you can have a whole chapter done in two weeks or less. What do you say?

BSherrod: I know about DRG4's site and am very interested in getting some of the rare footage he shows. Sadly, he seems to only have them as RM, which is probably even worse than the FLV's from YouTube. I don't think I tried e-mailing him to see if he could send me high quality versions of the footage he has, but I'll do so soon, thanks for reminding me .
As for ToonZone, I never visited the site, but found out about the real episode order by googling for it, which led me to their forums. I'll see if they can confirm the legitimacy of the real episode order.
The TV captures are phenomenal: they are softer than the DVD rips and (IIRC) the VHS captures, but they are leagues better than both as they don't have the NASTY rainbowing and haloing from the DVDs or the HORRENDOUS telecining of the VHS tapes. After filtering they look simply awesome .

Booshman: thanks for the encouragement . Now that I found good spanish audio sources, the only thing we need to find are subtitles for each episode (in english, spanish or both) and pictures from which the menus will designed.

Andrew The Great: you probably have the same set we have, a bunch of VCDs thrown in a DVD. Anyway, so you are creating artwork for the set you bought, eh? You can help a lot by creating the covers and menu artwork for us. I can upload several pictures and scans of the VHS tape boxes if you want .

guiltyspark: thanks a lot for the VHS captures, but if it's not too late I'd like to ask you to captire with a lossless codec (I recommend Lagarith in YUY2 mode) and send me that if possible. That way we can get the best quality out of it .

Good news, I managed to find spanish versions that seem to have decent quality MP2 audio. We also found out that the episodes being aired on TV in the U.S are of much better quality than the commercial VHS (), at least they don't have to be manually IVTCed. So, I only have to save some money to buy those and we'll finally be starting the process.

Info Wanted: Charlie Chaplin shorts - where can I find them?
Time
So the Mutuals 90th anniversary edition with scores by Carl Davis are the 4-disc set you recommended? That doesn't appear on Amazon, hopefully it will soon. About the lost keystone short, is at least its name known? I'd like to scour the web for it...

P.S: are the Essanays on the Amazon links I posted the same as the ones from Overstock you linked me to?

So the forthcoming 4-disc re-release of the Mutual set would make the 2-disc one from deepdiscountDVD obsolete, right? Any word on it, specifically if I can buy it from Amazon? What about the BFI's Keystone restorations, have they been release as well and can I buy them from Amazon? One more thing, these:

seem to be the same Essanay volumes you linked me to. The Overstock links don't provide much information, so could you please confirm/deny it?

P.S: any info on that sole lost Keystone short?

Idea: 'Gabriel Knight - a compilation disc'
Time
To be fair, most of the improvement was done by someone else. I just added noise and corrected the colors.

klokwerk: I can send you the filterchain once I get it, but bear in mind that it probably won't work for your videos. That's because this source in particular is not exactly blocky, it has horrible aliasing and texture issues and has very little camera movement. If what you have is videos with lots of blocking, I have a filterchain (again, suggested by someone and tweaked my me) that is designed to remove heavy macroblocking. I can show you before-after comparisons via PM if you want.

Let's stay on topic though: do you know of any video interviews with Jane Jensen or the voice actors about the GK saga? Also, do you know if anyone around here would make a videoclip from the game's cutscenes?
