I’d say to lower the volume a bit form 1:01 to 1:08, when Finn & Jannah speak.

I agree the motion of the TIEs in the castle shot feels slightly off. Though I imagine syncing the motion to the footage must be a nightmare since the camera’s very active.
To quote Baze Malbus - “You’re welcome”
If you’d consider a couple of pretty small changes I thought of after going through the subtitles again, don’t know if they’ve been discussed before:
One thing that’s always bothered me is when Krennic orders the Death Troopers to execute Galen’s team, he yells “Ready, aim, fire!” and then Galen steps in and says “Stop! It was me!”. Now, the Death Troopers don’t strike me as the type to hesitate following orders so truthfully Galen should’ve been shot down for stepping in. I wonder if the “fire!” could be trimmed so that Galen steps in before Krennic can finish the command.
There’s a piece of clunky out of place dialogue that seems to be adr’d in. When we first get to Jedah, and Jyn wakes up from her dream, Cassian walks in and does a bit of chat with her: “That’s Jedah… or what’s left of it…” then he walks away while Jyn looks out the window, and yet even though Cassian walked away and his back is facing the camera we hear an awkward piece of unnecessary exposition: “We find Saw, we find your father.” I think the scene would flow nicer if that line is removed. Plus it’s an awkward thing for Cassian to say after endearing small talk since he was tasked to kill his father if they found him.
okay, I’ve cleaned up the shot some more. Here’s the new version:

And here’s the full quality download:

The previews I uploaded on vimeo are of a much lower quality than the rendered clips. If you’d like to improve the clips further I could send you the link to the full quality clips.
Alright! I will try to tweak it some more. Just wanted to show what I’ve been able to do so far.

lol exactly.
The new clips have finished uploading on the same place as before, inside the folder labeled “Fixed Colors”.
Here’s a comparison of all the new clips vs. the previous ones:

Also here’s a new version of the spanish subs, hopefully they work correctly:

I believe poppasketti finished the Coruscant shots here:
Ok, here’s one more refinement pass of the Coruscant additions (same link as before):

(new FX shots at :06, 1:24, and 1:26)
Yes, the new clips are the same aside from the colors.
As for the R2 shot, I said it might be too hard for me, but I could continue working on it and see what I can do.
I’m reuploading the clips right now on the same place as before, on a new folder to avoid confusion.
I don’t know what’s up with the subtitles, it fails to show letters with accent marks (áéíóú) & ¡¿ symbols. I’ll re-export & reupload them to see if it does anything.
Just a heads-up to anyone who wants to use my implementation of the deepfakes, I’ve encountered an issue with the clips I’ve rendered having slightly altered colors, giving the clips a slightly green tint. I have re-rendered all of them with different color settings.

Well, it is very aparent to me, though I’ve been looking at the clips way longer than most. Still, I’ll re-render all the clips with the settings that I believe fix the colors and reupload them. I’m pretty happy with how they look otherwise, it’s really cool to see them implemented 😃
Another issue I’ve noticed is that the spanish subtitles seem to be on the wrong encoding, since certain symbols appear as <?>.
The odd colors are most apparent during the first scene:

These screenshots are from V2 1080p
Hmmm, it’s an odd thing. I’m not sure how any of this works, but I noticed the colors looked diferent back when I tested merging the shots to a full scene, even though the clips would look fine on playback.

Here’s a fix test I did altering some settings, this might look better, though it still alters the colors a bit:

I checked out V2 and I’ve noticed that the clips I’ve rendered have a slightly altered color, a bit of a greener tint, I noticed this while I was working on them too but I was hoping it only was something on my end. I’m not sure what the issue is, I’ll see if I can fix it, otherwise I wonder if someone could look at them to correct the colors.
Awesome! 😄
I had been trying to cobble up that Artoo shot, but it might be above my ability.
I like that the Djarik cameo is now left until the end of TRoS, where it actually serves a purpose. Here it just came off as pointless fanservice that halts the scene for a dose of nostalgia.
I’m fine with Hayden Ghost since it makes it feel more like something I could’ve seen in theaters. They would’ve never brought back Sebastian Shaw, but there was a lot of talk of Hayden coming back as a ghost. The edited version now feels more official than the official version to me.
I’ve synced them to the latest version with the removed holochess bit. I’ve sent the PM.
I downloaded the video and I see the improvements you made! There was a “off” masking of Rey previously, but now it’s a lot smoother. Nice work!
I also took your feedback and made her a bit sharper at the end. Thanks!
Thanks everyone for the kind words! I’m as amateur as it gets but I’m inspired by the fantastic work being done here, I’m glad I could add to it.
Also, Hal, I’ve updated the spanish subtitles with fixes to some typos and also synced to V5. I see you’ve already added them but you can update them if you’d like.
Thanks! It was your comment that made want to check that scene.
I’m done with what I think would be the final version. Added motion tracking, altered the masks some more, plus a buch of other tweaks.
I exceeded the upload limit on Vimeo so I can’t show a preview.
But I guess I’ll just share the download for the clip here for anybody who wants it 😃

I’ll give it one more look tomorrow and post a download link.
