Digital Bits thoughts?
Time
I can't really place my finger on what ruined SW for me. But I do agree that it has lost its level of fanaticism in my mind these last few years. I have come to appreciate ANH and ESB more as I get older and ROTJ less. I'm still the reverse on the PT movies from Rebel. I still like AOTC better than TPM. But I still have to see TPM again.

It's weird how things change when you grow up. When you're a kid, you swear that nothing could ever be better than the OT. They were my favorite movies of all time. But as I grew up, other movies start to encroach on what was once unattainable status. Now, ESB is the only SW film still in my top 20 films of all time. And even that is not in the #1 spot (Shawshank Redemption is).

I guess this could change once I have kids and expose them to SW. Hoping that they enjoy it as much as I did.

DON'T GET TECHNICAL WITH ME

No, not forwarding or replying. Both of those actions confirm that your e-mail address exists. When spammers get that confirmation, then the shitstorm really starts. Right now, spammers just try random combinations of characters in hopes of hitting one that does work. There is software that does this for them. Sometimes, you will see a message on the bottom saying "to unsubscribe, click here". Unless you subscribed to that e-newsletter in the first place, never click on this link as that is another way to confirm that your address exists.

I'm not sure how to accomplish what Dayv is suggesting, but I'd be interested in finding out more.

I was rooting for the Panthers in the Super Bowl and was disappointed by the outcome as was my wife. I was hoping for a trifecta of flubbed field goals by Vinatieri. Alas, it was not so.

My wife and I are big Bears fans as we live in Chicago. Hoping for better things from them next season since they have a pretty nice new coaching staff. Let's just see what happens in terms of off-season acquisitions and the draft.

My wife is a big fan of place kickers since her brother is one for Wisconsin Lutheran College. Since his team does not have a kicker coach, his head coach feels guilty at the lack of specialized training that her brother has received (granted he's only a freshman right now). So his head coach is calling in a favor and he will be training this summer under the watchful eye of Packers' place kicker Ryan Longwell. Not too bad, eh?

As has been stated in other posts in the past, in order to release the 1997 SE, the original stock had to be digitized. Any filmmaker with his head on straight (yes, that includes Lucas) would have multiple copies of the digitized original stock just in case a mistake was made. You have to have something to fall back on. It's a basic concept in any sort of editing field be it web design, graphic design, film editing, photo editing, etc. You always have a back-up copy in case everything goes FUBAR. So he has to have an unaltered back-up copy somewhere.
