I would have to agree with Jimbo on this one. As funny as that SP episode was, we all know the truth that Lucas is the nutjob. And I also agree that it can always get worse. Be careful what you wish for...

Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (official)

Howsabout you all create a T3 thread in the off topic section and we can keep this one dedicated to "Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (official)" as the name would otherwise imply?

Don't want to come off as an asshole here. But we've got a bunch of new members joining up each day and we'll have more with this GQ article that Jay was interviewed for, so it would be a good idea for us to keep this thread on topic so people searching for information about Revenge of the Sith actually find it and not a Terminator discussion. Sound semi reasonable?

Ideas: Re-edits for various movies

I still have yet to see any version of Dune on film. I have read the book and loved it. Maybe that's why I'm afraid. I'm going to start with the Lynch, though, and move to the newer version. Then I've got to read the other books before I see the other movie that's out.

As for AI, I would have been fine with it ending right before all that alien world crap begins. It fades to black and that's when I shut off the DVD. Skip all the Spielbergization.

Interesting analogy. I like it, and it seems to work. Funny how I hate the idea of cosmetic surgery for the sake of self improvement, too. However, should someone need cosmetic surgery as the result of an accident, then go for it. Much like film in my case. If a film is so old and detereorated that it needs help, then do so. But if you are altering it just to say you can, bugger off.

Episodes 7,8,9?

Yeah, I think it's just fanboy fantasizing. They all think because Lucas was suddenly willing to do the PT that he would want to do an ST (Sequel Trilogy). I don't see it happening. Especially after all the flaming that Lucas has been getting on the PT. But, then again, when has he cared what fans think?

I think we had a thread about this a while ago and we were talking about how far in the future he would have to go to avoid showing andy of his OT characters in the ST. There's no way he could have any of the human characters from the OT in there for several reasons. 1) Fans would bash it more than they bashed Jar Jar, 2) They're too old unless they time the script that way, and 3) I doubt any of them would come back. If Harrison Ford wanted Lucas to kill him off in ROTJ, what are the odds that he would want to do a new trilogy? Carrie Fisher is happier behind the camera as a script doctor even though she does do a very occasional appearance on screen (Jay and Silent Bob is the most recent I can think of). Mark Hamill won't show his face on screen unless he has a beard (Comic Book: The Movie) or makeup (Jay and Silent Bob), otherwise he's just a voice for movies/TV (Batman) and video games (Wing Commander) due to his skin graft scars showing. Okay, Billy Dee Williams might do it just because he has no other discernable Hollywood life (most recent was in Undercover Brother - while I like the movie, his role could have been done by anyone).

Just my two Lincolns.
