And the people who have made her popular simply because she is a tramp and the daughter of one of the world's foremost hoteliers should at least be firmly whipped.

I remember the days of watching Zoolander when Derek is walking through the party and saying hi to everybody and thinking I know him, I know her, I know him, who the hell is that blonde chick?

Ah, the good old days...

The Da Vinci Code (Movie)

I read the book and I'm having trouble remembering who I was mentally envisioning in the lead as I read it. For the femme role, I was thinking about Sophie Marceau - the woman who played Princess Isabelle in Braveheart. But, somehow, I just know that Catherine Zeta-Jones is gonna fight for the role, and probably get it. That would ruin the movie IMHO.

See, I don't think Chasing Amy was meant to be an all-out comedy. It's meant to show how KS learned from a relationship in which he acted like Ben Affleck does. Amy is more about the story than the comedy. KS didn't "forget" anything. He was trying to make a minor departure from what he had done before.

And it is a funny movie as well. I don't personally think that anything in Mallrats compares to the Comiccon nubian fight between Banky and Hooper. That is just classic Kevin Smith.

Clerks is a damn good movie, but Mallrats was piss poor by the standards established by Clerks and then followed by Chasing Amy and, even, Dogma. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Mallrats every once in a while, but it is the worst of the Jersey Quintilogy (is that a word?).

The department store and surrounding area seen is Cleveland's Public Square and Tower City.
The home is in a neighborhood called Tremont.

Never tried it (that soup), but I'll take Ralphy's word on its taste.

A fine movie, indeed. Good catch on the ref. I was hoping it wouldn't be too obscure.

I'll assume you meant "soap" in your last line.

No question that it is better than the TPM Jabba. I'm just waiting to see what changes he winds up making to his PT now that he's done more stuff to the OT. What do you think will change?

Saints Acquire Veteran Cornerback McKenzie

NEW ORLEANS (Sports Network) - The New Orleans Saints (news) Monday acquired cornerback Mike McKenzie (news) and a future conditional draft choice from Green Bay. In exchange, the Packers received a second-round pick in 2005 and quarterback J.T. O'Sullivan (news).

New Orleans agreed to pay the remainder of McKenzie's contract, which runs through the 2006 season.

McKenzie, who is in his sixth NFL season, has been a starter at left cornerback for Green Bay since his rookie year. In 70 career games, he has posted 284 tackles (235 solo), 15 interceptions, a sack and a fumble recovery.

The Memphis product has played in one contest this season (9/19 vs. Chicago), where he had one pass defensed.

McKenzie was coming off a stellar 2003 campaign, where he had four interceptions, including one for a 90-yard touchdown, and 57 tackles (51 solo).

O'Sullivan, a 6-2, 220-pounder out of Cal-Davis, is fresh off a solid campaign in NFL Europe. The third-year NFL player led the Frankfurt Galaxy to the 2004 World Bowl championship as he went 120-of-196 for 1,527 yards with 10 touchdowns and five interceptions. He also ranked second in the league with a 91.9 passer rating.

The Packers were in need of another quarterback after releasing former No. 1 pick Tim Couch (news) earlier this year. The urgency for a signal caller became even more apparent when All-Pro signal-caller Brett Favre (news) was knocked out of Sunday's game against the Giants with a concussion. Currently, the only other quarterbacks on Green Bay's roster are Doug Pederson (news) and Craig Nall (news).

"You only think I guessed wrong - that's what's so funny. I switched glasses when your back was turned. Ha-ha, you fool. You fell victim to one of the classic blunders, the most famous of which is "Never get involved in a land war in Asia", but only slightly less well known is this: "Never go in against a Sicilian, when *death* is on the line.". Hahahahahah."
[Vizzini falls over dead]

I like his line about never getting involved in a land war in Asia. Words to live by.
