To anyone potentially wondering: it is unlikely I will publish a new version during 2026.

To anyone potentially wondering: it is unlikely I will publish a new version during 2026.

im not demanding im asking and i did said that i could do it
why are you posting it randomly in someone else’s thread that’s not about Halloween 4
is there a halloween 4 fanedit that retcons the ending of the movie as a dream?
no
Any news on this one?
The theatrical cut is widely available on blu-ray now, with the 2021 Studio Canal release, now making this project largely redundant.

Only thing that makes this of interest otherwise, would be the laserdisc audio.
Is it for sale?
What is the sale price?

I think it’s long gone by now.
i would like a fanedit of the original versions of the original trilogy and i mean the versions that were released on vhs and aired on tv not the theatricall versions that restores deleted scenes and replaced puppet yoda and puppet jabba with AI jabba and AI yoda and i wish lucas did replaced puppet yoda and puppet jabba from rotj with cgi yoda and cgi jabba and made cgi jabba in rotj look like how he looks like in a new hope because it looks weird for younger fans who watches the movies seeing how different yoda looks like in the original trilogy and how diferent jabba looks like in rotj after seeing him in a new hope and of course i want that fanedit to do what adywan´s did with the emperor look in his esb fanedit

Of course I want that fanedit to do what Adywan did with the Emperor in his ESB fanedit.
Had to rewrite and decode this mess of a post to even understand what the first half meant.
Basically boils down to;
Any takers? Sounds like a simple task clearly.
I want a fanedit of the Star Wars Prequels, etc…
Glad to see you aren’t giving up on your vision.
Sorry but this just looks bad.
I cannot determine your exact goal but it looks like you’ve mixed a VHS Tape with the GOUT and then rendered it with a super low bitrate.
If this makes you happy then sure, but I cannot imagine sitting down and watching this odd mismatch when there’s lovely high-def film scans done of the 97SEs.
you can have access to them too if you find the website I downloaded them from. it’s been some time and I never wrote it down so.

Also, I still don’t believe you that these 2012 Swedish 35mm scans from either 1996 or 1997 or 1998, or whatever year you keep moving them to, are real. Why has no one else heard of them before?
because they are fan made and private? why are you so insisting here?
Because as far as I am aware, or anyone else for that matter, fanscans of films didn’t really start appearing online until late 2016, with the Silver Screen Edition. TN-1 started work on them in 2012-ish, but nothing complete got posted until 2016.
If there was scans done in 2012, even of the 97SEs, this site would of known about it, they would of been great sources for Despecialised and other restorations and fanedits.
If they were real scans, and this was a real unique project, you would show them off to everyone and shut everyone up and prove them wrong. Yet you haven’t. Why?
Posted this on FE but may as well double dip.
Of course this isn’t my edit, but after seeing all the comments saying that the first episode should open with Cass and the Ring of Kafrene, before transitioning into the Jyn flashback to 15 BBY, I had a crack at doing just that.
Maybe you should give up and start your own project instead of trying to fix blocky pixels or whatever on a scan that already exists. If the Blocky Moments get on your nerves so much, maybe you should just watch the Blu-ray. It’s not a big deal. What’s done is done. Move on.
love that norbit movie lol the waterslide scene is the best! when are we gonna get a good open matte scan of that lmao
I am using several sources because the colours in most restorations are incorrect.
Incorrect according to what? What are you using as your colour reference that shows every other release as incorrect?

the sources of this preservation are clear, but there were, I am unsure if still are, debates of this.
I used only one source for each movie. The first movie’s source comes from a 1997 print. seemingly the same master was used for 4K97-4, but I am not sure, the scrathes are similar to 4K97-4 but I am not sure is it the same master.
The second movie: I used a print from 1998. It has colours in the other side of the image, but I am once again not sure why.
The third movie: it has rounded corners, I am not sure why, but some debated it was from 4K97, which it is not from.
I assume this was edited and added in the past few days. A wonderful non-answer that contridicts previous statments.
If you aren’t just using some weird edit of 4k97, then you aren’t making it easy for yourself.
What is the source of this “restoration”? You have previously mentioned that it’s based on some late 90s prints, that were scanned in 2012, with the original files being over 200gb but you insist on working in 480p.
to the 2012 scans, they absolutely are real scans. I don’t remember talking about 200GB sizes, but could be wrong. I will look into it if you find a message about that.
The files were converted to mp4 with resolution lowered since the original files were almost 200 GB each, they were not mp4 originally, but I made them since mp4 is the easiest format. And I have no much to say about it right now

Why has no one else ever heard of these scans from 2012, and why do you insist on working from them rather than any other better print that has come out since? You said that the 4k97 scans have bad colour?
Why haven’t you shown any visuals from your “restoration”?
What is your goal with this project?
Still confused about everything to do with this “project” as many questions still remain unanswered. Glad to see you haven’t given up on doing whatever it is that you do.
?
I mean there can’t and won’t be noise removal since it’s a digitally produced program. Likely what you’re seeing is probably just due to resolution issues. Maybe your Disney+ stream just isn’t fast enough to show the full 1080p stream. The DVDs are also only just 480p too. I assume you’re comparing them to the full bitrate Blu-Rays or something.

So far I’ve reached out to almost every active editor that has an edit on here to double check if they want a direct link to their fanedit, or to link to PM them, if they don’t want to give control.
You clearly didn’t since my edits are listed there, some unatributed to me.
Forgive my ignorance, but I remember reading somewhere, maybe it was reddit I can’t remember exactly, that Bobson and Numeral are the same person?
Can confirm I am Bobson Dugnutt
This project is sadly cancelled.
I still don’t know what the project was, but this part was pretty funny.
This guy wanted to do a scene-by-scene recreation of Return of the Jedi, with every scene being remade by a different fan or group of fans, similar to how it was done by the Star Wars Uncut project in 2011.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_Uncut
Except that he had no idea how to do anything to get the ball rolling. He was trying to recruit people to do literally everything because it appeared he didn’t know how.
After that, he changed his Youtube with plans to do a similar recreation of the Youtube Geek Week 2013 Interactive Adventure? Whatever the hell that is, anyway that was cancelled too.
Long live Jedi Uncut, we hardly knew ye.
This is going to be released in 4-5 months and you’re looking for people to code a website first?
