team negative1 - star wars 1977 - 35mm theatrical version (Released)
Time

I dont know if this has ever been asked, and maybe its not even possible to do. Is there a way to alter the file so that it is in the scope format so that us folks with projectors/anamorphic lenses capable of stretching that image to the 2.35:1 AR can get our moneys worth on all available pixals?

I may have overlooked it, but what type of print was the source for this project? Im not to keen on film source types. I know there is 35mm flat, 35mm scope etc etc.

‘Protocol’ isn’t always followed and people do post 35mm stuff of interest in the various SW 35mm threads for visibility, which isn’t a big deal.

More appropriate would be to use the ‘other’ film restoration subforum (non-SW). But visibility is a bit lower. But that’s less of a problem when there’s more than 13 hours left of an auction. Regardless, crossposting is unwanted. Especially bumping various threads in the same subforum. Anyone who sees one will see them all. And in this case, we’re seeing a print in poor shape that isn’t really usable.
How can you tell the condition of it from those pics? Just curious.

Samuel didn’t even do anything in the movie, so I’d hardly call it good acting. He sat around for a while, he said some silly dialogue, and he fell out of a window.

Oh, come on, the Second Defenestration of Coruscant was great.
Good word! I actually learned that word when I was a kid from a conversation my parents had.

ROTS is my favorite of the six movies (I have not yet seen TFA, I am waiting for the Blu-ray).

Why?

And IMO EpIII more or less did an excellent job of filling in that backstory.

I think the fact that Anakin was tricked (instead of seduced) into becoming a Sith Lord invalidates the entire film. That’s just me though.

“Tricked” is a synonym for seduced.

Info: Does anyone remember a BIG book??
Time

Ya know, I really dont remember. This was probably 1993-1997 time period. I wanna say I may have run across it again a few years later, but it didnt seem that it was the same book. The only memories I have was the pricetag, $80-$130 and that it had every costume, model or outfit fully laid out, piece by piece. Other than that one or two times, Ive never seen it again.

After Googleing it, I think thats it. The only definitive thing I recall was it had Boba Fetts outfit laid out piece for piece. Apparently, its somewhat of a collecters piece. I wish I wasnt so poor back then. I definitely wouldve bought it. I guess I have an excuse now to buy it now that I know the name of it. THANX!

My friend says that CGI Yoda and Jabba are far superior to the puppets from the OT. He also hates Chewbacca. I honestly don’t know why I even hang out with him at this point.

Your friend is a product of his/her generation. More accustomed to CGI than the real thing, albeit a bit muppetish at times. Kind of supports a point I tried to make in another thread that deepnding on what generation you grew up in, it can have an affect on how you interpret or view a movie/book.
