A bit of cropping is normal both for projection of film prints and commercial releases. This is especially necessary for scope films in which there is very little space between frames and the glue splices from the negative become visible.

Yes, I plan to be re-uploading both comparisons tomorrow (along with a new one for Jedi), as I’ve been able to correct the problems in Empire’s comparison, so why not fix Star Wars as well.

I know the colors are intentional on Grindhouse, and I appreciate the work that was done, but they’re a little too off for my taste.

Hate to be a bother but does anyone have a suggestion for ways to download the current 2.7 of this project and a way to keep up with its future releases downloads if you don’t have and cant seem to obtain a myspleen account?

I’m beginning to think that it is the actual burner itself. I originally had some BD25-RE I tried using, but apparently they had less space on them then the BD25-Rs I have, so I had to opt to overburn. I usually got several I/O errors before the burner actually got it all on the disc, but compared to the BD25-R’s, the frame rate suffered. I say this because I not too long ago woke up and had Jedi burning overnight, which results in an I/O error. I restarted the burning the process and not even 15 minutes later I got another I/O error. Here’s the screenshot:
I think I’ll be returning this burner and ordering a new one then. At least I have the writable discs to rely on in the mean time. Thanks for your help, Towne.
I just recently finished burning the BD25 film only version of Star Wars onto a BD50-RE disc and there seems to be some motion smearing compared to the BD25-R disc I burned of the same version.
This may not be the kind of problem you’re looking for, njvc, as it’s probably just on my end, but would anyone know why this may be happening for me? I’ve used Imgburn for all burning. The BD50-Re discs are 2x and the BD25-R’s 6x write speed.
What the hell is video<!> ? The variable name is just video, why is there an exclamation mark in the <> signs added?
I wouldn’t know, and yes, I do have avisynth (but no clue how to use it).
Has anyone been able to sync these files to the grindhouse, particularly the 5.1, 2.0 and mono mixes? If so, I’d greatly appreciate help getting a hold of them.
I’ve tried Arnied’s script in VD and it always returns the error message, "Error during script execution at line 1, column 6: Variable ‘video’ not found

I hardly know anything about VD but I’m open to try to sync the GOUT audio myself with it if someone is able to help out.
Btw, the supposedly synced files on Spleen for this are not actually synced (though, they are usually sort of close).
