STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 <strong>REVISITED</strong> ADYWAN *<em>1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION</em>
Time

It might be nice if when the OT:R is finished if someone made a PDF Collector's Edition (as in the magazine format books that used to come out with the movies) style booklet which could be printed off at home, explaining the project and with some behind the scenes material and some mock-ups of ideas used and not used to mark the half way point of this mammoth undertaking.

And then do another one when the PT:R is finished in the space year umpty thrumpty.

It would make a nice companion piece to the final set beyond what might be on a DVD (or whatever format we will be viewing things on in that far off future world).

I still have my original Star Wars Collection Edition booklets for the OT (the Star Wars one my dad got for me in cinema when we came out from seeing the film might still have particles of choc ice on it).

Sure is but I've posted it three times now (or rather variations of it) so to go in a fourth time would be kind of rude.

I'll trust in the power of the back page button and if I don't get an answer now it's because the guy is busy, not well (and I hope you are better soon Ady) or just doesn't want to answer.

I'm not the centre of anyone's universe, thank Zod ;-)

Bingowings,

We get our epson ink carts refilled at a little place between the post office and a taco joint.  It's like 5 bucks per cart.

If you're not in Denver, (or don't know where the taco joint is) you may want to look around to see if there are any fly by night places around you.

Falkirk is a little far away from Denver sadly we do however have a place that does tacos, but the only things near it are numerous kilt shops and tattoo parlours.

The world is big enough for many different edits.

That's part of the fun of coming here.

Now we all know that in ROTJ:R Leia and Luke will still brother and sister but that doesn't stop people from making other edits or from posting ideas how to do them on the ESB/ROTJ Wishlist Thread.

Will we get any further foreshadowing (other than what is already in the film) in this edit Ady (perhaps in the nature I described a while back)?

Yay another victory!

Any thoughts on my Leia "Star Destroyer" dialogue point?

OMFG Star Destroyer

>:D

I think I have to agree with sluggo, that line has always been the thing that bugs me about the film the most.  The line is delivered in such an odd way.  I'm just not sure what could be done about it.

It would be interesting if Leia could sense what it was before she saw it , like Ben does with the TIE Fighter in ANH, it would go someway to adding more cred to her latent Force abilities (stopping her pointing would help, as would having her deliver the line before the Executor comes into view) her picking up Luke could be down to him being a strong sender rather than her own telepathic potential but if she did this it could create a mystery to be picked up by the next episode.

There is a difference between using models (CGI or physical) to accomplish shots which can not be done with sets and costumes and just doing it because you can.

The Cloud City and Death Star corridors look more realistic than most of those in the Jedi Temple because they are actually there and lit by real light (all be it stage directed which is an art in itself). The director can chose to move the actor from one side to another based on what they can see through the lens.

With a virtual set you have to distort the surroundings to fit in with the few real world elements you have which may save money but doesn't look natural (even in a fantastic universe sense).

At least a physical model is a real object which is hit by real light.

CGI is getting better (already many of the TPM effects look more dated than the ROTS ones and SE often stick out like a sore thumb) but the difference is still noticable.

Where have you been, this house is a mess lol

Just curious, because I forgot, what programs/hardware do you need to burn images onto a disk, I know about the "disk burners" but I'm confused. I really want adys disk art!

For burning images onto a disc, you need a LightScribe drive, or something like it.  Its a special disc burner that burns the data on normal or special discs, then you can flip over the special disc and burn a B&W image on the other side.  Most people around here just print out an image on an Avery label or whatever and stick it on there.  Being paranoid, I heard that the stickers can mess up the data over time, so I didn't even write on my DVD-9s of ANHR!

I always use printable discs and my Epson printer will print directly on the disc in photo quality

I forgot about those.  Never used one.  Sounds awesome though!

Mine does that too (it has a special drawer to protect the disc) but the Ink carts are really difficult to get and cost a fortune and they are chipped so you can't use generic carts or send them off to be refilled, nice of of them to reward people for buying their expensive hardware.

lightsaber blades are theoretically weightless.

Yeah, once they changed their idea. :p Lucas wanted them to appear to be heavy at first and Luke always had to hold it with two hands. (just in fight scenes, maybe?) But then the first time he ever touched one, he's swinging it around with one hand. Hmm...

Padme also made a bit of double entendre about Anakin's being heavier than she thought it would in the Clone Wars series (presumably the hilt).

Maybe it's like a lawn mower, the Sabre may be light but the vibration from the energy gives it an impression of weight over time, that and the weight of the hilt could make it difficult for an inexperienced user or a quadruple amputee to whirl around.

The first two need a lot of work on them, with the TPM one the P cuts into both the top bar and H and the M cuts into the top bar too, the bottom bar also has also got a rather unpleasing thickness on the side.

There's nothing wrong with bending the rules about changing the letter sizes to create effects but you should try to avoid over clumping the letter forms, give them a bit of room to breath and they will look easier on the eye.

The J in Jedi looks very strange indeed, does it lack a left serif counter in the typeset you have or did you adapt it to look that way?

The bar under THE is jabbing it in the tail too.
