Following on from some talk in the covers thread, can anyone identify the font used for the CBS FOX part of this logo?

Photobucket

I could fiddle about with Impact (ugh) to come up with something similar, but wondered if anyone knew more precisely what it was...

Your instincts serve you well.

It's Impact but the F has been forced justified to make fit under the C which is why it's so much broader and the bars are longer (possibly the same is true to a lesser extent with the X).

To transpose the idea you would need to get the top letter set right, position the bottom middle letter in so it's right under the upper middle letter and manually justify the end letters to get that boxed in look.

Whoever did it was a bit of hack if you compare it to classic CBS and Fox idents it looks like someone went wild with Letroset in a photocopier.

We still don't know how precisely, whether he was like that all along and hiding it with the force, or if his dark force energy turned back on him caused it, or if the heat of the lightning melted his face... but it certainly was bright and colorful, and that's what matters in the end.

Seeing as Luke got a full blast unreflected for several minutes longer than Palpatine did reflected it seems that having his mask pulled down is the only explanation that makes sense.

Qui-Gon is undercover and Anakin gives no indication of knowing or suspecting he is a Jedi at that moment in time.

To him he's just an off-worlder in search of a ship part and he would, I suppose assume that Jar-Jar is the same or maybe even his slave until Padme expresses how quaint the idea of slavery it to her.

Besides Anakin seems to have a one track mind (even at that age) he's only interested in Padme the angelic and barely notices Jar-Jar until he starts to wreck the shop.

He'd proberbly be more interested in R2 (I would be when I was his age).

I suppose George thought that Jar-Jar had to be in those scenes because if he wasn't Jar-Jar wouldn't be in those scenes (if you catch my drift).

Hello folks,

Does anyone have any pictures of the throne of Naboo without anyone sitting on it?

There are a few moments in TPM but they are either motion blur city or blocked by too many actors to remove.

All angles are welcome but I would prefer them to be reasonably in focus.

Did the prop ever do the rounds in any of the exhibitions?

I'm trying to recreate the scene where communication between Coruscant and Naboo are cut off but where Padme and Panaka are on Coruscant and shown as holograms (which get cut off instead of or as well as Palpatine's) so I need to reconstruct the back of the chair to create the effect.

So far this is all I can do :

Padme 2

Padme Hologram 1

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time

It might be nice if when the OT:R is finished if someone made a PDF Collector's Edition (as in the magazine format books that used to come out with the movies) style booklet which could be printed off at home, explaining the project and with some behind the scenes material and some mock-ups of ideas used and not used to mark the half way point of this mammoth undertaking.

And then do another one when the PT:R is finished in the space year umpty thrumpty.

It would make a nice companion piece to the final set beyond what might be on a DVD (or whatever format we will be viewing things on in that far off future world).

I still have my original Star Wars Collection Edition booklets for the OT (the Star Wars one my dad got for me in cinema when we came out from seeing the film might still have particles of choc ice on it).

Sure is but I've posted it three times now (or rather variations of it) so to go in a fourth time would be kind of rude.

I'll trust in the power of the back page button and if I don't get an answer now it's because the guy is busy, not well (and I hope you are better soon Ady) or just doesn't want to answer.

I'm not the centre of anyone's universe, thank Zod ;-)

Bingowings,

We get our epson ink carts refilled at a little place between the post office and a taco joint. It's like 5 bucks per cart.

If you're not in Denver, (or don't know where the taco joint is) you may want to look around to see if there are any fly by night places around you.

Falkirk is a little far away from Denver sadly we do however have a place that does tacos, but the only things near it are numerous kilt shops and tattoo parlours.

The world is big enough for many different edits.

That's part of the fun of coming here.

Now we all know that in ROTJ:R Leia and Luke will still brother and sister but that doesn't stop people from making other edits or from posting ideas how to do them on the ESB/ROTJ Wishlist Thread.

Will we get any further foreshadowing (other than what is already in the film) in this edit Ady (perhaps in the nature I described a while back)?

Yay another victory!

Any thoughts on my Leia "Star Destroyer" dialogue point?

OMFG Star Destroyer

>:D

I think I have to agree with sluggo, that line has always been the thing that bugs me about the film the most. The line is delivered in such an odd way. I'm just not sure what could be done about it.

It would be interesting if Leia could sense what it was before she saw it , like Ben does with the TIE Fighter in ANH, it would go someway to adding more cred to her latent Force abilities (stopping her pointing would help, as would having her deliver the line before the Executor comes into view) her picking up Luke could be down to him being a strong sender rather than her own telepathic potential but if she did this it could create a mystery to be picked up by the next episode.
