I’m trying to be as diverse as I can.
It might be an idea that when the shield is shown to be still up and the Rebels are being hammered by the Imperial fleet and the Death Star weapon a small group of fighters try to bombard the shield dish from space with no effect because of the reach of the shield.
That would underline how important it is for the ground attack to work and tie the two battles together.

From mid April until about 2 weeks ago it was boiling hot. I had to get the electric fan out because Scottish houses have this very simple form of air conditioning (we open or shut a window). Yesterday I had to have the Central Heating on and the rain… wow. Looks like we are saying goodbye to that continental weather. Lucky for us the River Carron is tidal so no flooding yet.

It’s really annoying when you think you have got a real bargain on ebay only to discover it’s a sodding modern comic book.

I prefer “would you care to step outside”. It mirrors the previous scene where the depowered Clark has his arse handed to him. It’s triumphant and reflects Supes boyscout clean cut idealised American values. Powerful but civilised. The freedom of the press line sounds like something Lois or Jimmy might say.
My impression was they took the Rebels more seriously. So sent the Emperor’s blood hound after them with a small fleet and a fancy command ship. Palpatine is playing with fire knowing that if Vader finds his child there will be sparks. But he also knows it will be a beacon to finding the rest of the Rebels that fled Yavin.
Imagine being the only people in the Eiffel tower during the off season with snow up to the restaurant level… say that would make a fab post apocalyptic movie. As long as they don’t cast Tom Cruise or Will Smith.

I don’t want to sound mean but for the sake of her remaining well being it might be a good idea to get a doctor in. If the dementia is vascular it could lead to strokes and heart problems all of which can be very painful and make her life and that of your family much worse than it already is.
It would also make sense to have an assessment of her capability for general safety reasons.
I once was called to a house where an elderly lady was trying to put a plastic electric kettle on a gas hob to boil water for her tea. Luck had it she forgot how to ignite the gas but we had to spend some time ventilating the room.
