If you need to B*tch about something... this is the place
Time

Yesterday was one of my fast days so I woke up pretty hungry and I needed to go out and vote and then go off to Alloa so I thought I would just finish off the contents of the tin of beans in the fridge with the last of the bread.

Some way into my breakfast I noticed how the beans tasted a bit icky and then I noticed a pork sausage.

I’ve been Vegetarian since 16… I’m nearly 46 but I’m also frugal and hate to waste food.
So I picked out and rolled the sausages into the compost bin and finished the beans on toast but it really tasted and felt rank.

I spent the whole morning feeling kind of sick and sort of contaminated.

My partner had purchased pork and beans in a tin in error, he meant to get veggie sausages and thought that’s what they were when he ate them while I starved.

No amount of toothbrush or mouth wash action could purge the weirdness.

Linux has applications for just about anything. What are you looking for?

Just because Linux has those applications doesn’t mean it’s a viable option to switch. You have to learn all new workflows, applications, conventions, and more. Time and money could be lost in the process.

Most Linux machines take way more work to maintain than a Mac or a PC. To bring up the old adage, Linux is only viable if you don’t value your time.

That is just not true and as Linux is free you know I’m not paid to say this. These arguments have been done to death Windows is dying OS X is tied to overpriced badly made hardware, most users will get by with chrome. That leaves Linux which is free, adaptable and is easier to run than M$ and as easy to as it’s close cousin OS X. Both are UNIX based.

The Place to Go for Emotional Support

I made it home safely. I’m actually pretty functional behind the wheel of the car. I can order food, talk to people, operate computers, so I can function if forced to. In a way, that’s kind of scarier.

I’m not trying to undermine your confidence but distress is distracting, it alters your brain chemistry. It’s not as dangerous as drink driving but it will lower your usual levels of decision making by heightening the fight or flight response. It’s the adrenaline. So seriously consider moving to a dumb phone and if things are really tense leave the car parked over night and use public transport. Even if you feel you can drive.

I for one am glad you are writing this. It must be very difficult and bizarre for you fathom let alone explain. On the surface an addiction to watching anything would sound silly compared to a substance abuse problem. Addiction to porn would be easier to fathom. That it is an addiction to theological discussion videos and it’s clearly having such a debilitating effect on you would be something I would find difficult to explain to a stranger. That you are and so eloquently is an astounding testament to the human capacity to survive even the strangest of maladies. I would recommend you transfer your phone sim to a dumb phone. Having easy access to these films is leaving you open to indulge these impulses on the go. I am concerned that your emotional state in these circumstances coupled with use of a car could end in possible tragedy. If your phone has no video capabilities you will have to come home to abibe your urge to watch these films and you will not be emotionally vulnerable in a public place.

Not at all. Anxiety and new medication can play havoc on your appetite and your ‘bathroom experiences’. Some medication also requires food to work so even if you don’t feel up to it keep eating unless directed otherwise. I’m glad you are not allowing yourself to dehydrate. It’s very important for your general health, especially when it’s hot outside.

That’s great news, Bingo!

It looks like he has had a mini-stroke as he has a weakness on his right side but he can speak (albeit sounding understandably tired) they will keep in for a while to gauge his ability to cope and hopefully he will be back home in a couple of weeks.

I’ll pop down to England to see him and the family.
Just been talking to his benefactor who now lives in Australia.
Modern technology can be a pain in the arse but it is amazing that I can chat to someone in the Czech Republic and someone in Australia from Scotland about the health of a man in an Indian hospital who normally lives in England.

Looking forward to looping my space chums into the network.
