Morality--read the first post before posting or judging my posts
Time

Morality is subjective and personal, ethics are codified by institutions and are situational, legality is dependent on the state. If you don’t like what someone does ask yourself how does this hurt me. If it obstructs your life adversely seek legal action. If the laws don’t exist lobby your representatives. If it doesn’t hurt you just leave it alone. Keep to your ethics and morals and let other people live their lives as they see fit. If you do stick your nose in expect to get a response you won’t like. People have every right to fight for and defend their freedoms.

Happy Memorial Day! (2016)

The craziness of the ‘great war’ is it killed millions, leading to the Spanish Flu epidemic which killed millions, leading to second world war, which killed millions and the cold war that killed millions. We are essentially in perpetual war. All because of a small bunch of idiotic rich people playing real life D&D. Wouldn’t it just be simpler to plough our elites into the soil every few years and take all those millions of loved and missed lives to the stars where they belong? I declare a war on wars. If anyone comes to you trying to sell one that isn’t fictional tell them to bury themselves instead. It’s good for the soil and saves lots of grief.

I noticed some B5 figures going cheap on eBay so I put a bid in expecting to be out bid later but won the auction. As I am currently visiting folks in England, I asked them to be delivered here. Today my cousin turned up at the door with a box which I assumed to be a late, cheap and possibly ribald birthday present. It wasn’t it was my order. Of all the eBay sellers out there I had just ordered something from my own cousin.

If you had to have one OT backstory ruined by Lucas, who would it be?

Fett serves as a Mirror for Han’s progress ( in ESB he does). He is the anti-Han. George screwed that up in 1983. For me not having Vader as the saber wielding Jedi killer in the numbered prequels was a dumb move. I didn’t want to see Yoda and Palpatine bash sticks. I wanted to see what Ben was remembering when he talked about Vader hunting down and destroying the Jedi. Grevious should have been Vader. Anakin should have adopted the persona. Only without the stupid look and cough.

If you need to B*tch about something... this is the place
Time

Yesterday was one of my fast days so I woke up pretty hungry and I needed to go out and vote and then go off to Alloa so I thought I would just finish off the contents of the tin of beans in the fridge with the last of the bread.

Some way into my breakfast I noticed how the beans tasted a bit icky and then I noticed a pork sausage.

I’ve been Vegetarian since 16… I’m nearly 46 but I’m also frugal and hate to waste food.
So I picked out and rolled the sausages into the compost bin and finished the beans on toast but it really tasted and felt rank.

I spent the whole morning feeling kind of sick and sort of contaminated.

My partner had purchased pork and beans in a tin in error, he meant to get veggie sausages and thought that’s what they were when he ate them while I starved.

No amount of toothbrush or mouth wash action could purge the weirdness.

Linux has applications for just about anything. What are you looking for?

Just because Linux has those applications doesn’t mean it’s a viable option to switch. You have to learn all new workflows, applications, conventions, and more. Time and money could be lost in the process.

Most Linux machines take way more work to maintain than a Mac or a PC. To bring up the old adage, Linux is only viable if you don’t value your time.

That is just not true and as Linux is free you know I’m not paid to say this. These arguments have been done to death Windows is dying OS X is tied to overpriced badly made hardware, most users will get by with chrome. That leaves Linux which is free, adaptable and is easier to run than M$ and as easy to as it’s close cousin OS X. Both are UNIX based.
