Time travel is weird.
The thing that always felt weird for me was Han telling Chewie to lock in the auxiliary power twice.
It felt like two takes spliced together rather than Chewie being slow on the uptake.

I just purchased the collector’s edition of Exorcist 3. I’m interested in seeing the reassembled cut or whatever it is. It’s not the same as watching the film as originally intended but Morgan Creek lost the original footage. btw the TV series isn’t as crap as it should be but it’s as silly as it could be.

It’s a crappy trick of biology and culture that makes us think that there is one special and very specific person out there for us. From children stories, through films and novels we see the archetype play out and biologically the bond between people genetically a good match is powerful and bears many of the hallmarks a mental illness. The truth is there are thousands of potentially successful matches for your average heterosexual person and if you were to meet and get over your nerves, in time you would feel the same connection. It just doesn’t feel like that while you are going through it.I recommend an honest and detailed internet dating profile. Patience and maybe seeing less of that friend and more of others. You are primed to start a life with that one individual. It’s not going to happen and hurts so for the sake of your friendship take that hurt away and start looking for someone else to share your life with. I wish you all the best.
In response to graveyard visits. Our loved ones are as much in their graves, urns and niches as our feet are in the sock drawer.
It’s a good place of focus. I like to talk to my dad’s stone but he isn’t in there he’s in my head all the time. I can imagine his reactions to things he would never of seen during his lifetime. I hear his humour. I can sense what he approves of and what he doesn’t.
If anything death has brought us closer but it takes time to adjust to the new kind of relationship.
It was the anniversary of his death day last week so he has been in my thoughts more than usual recently and he too had to go through Cancer. It’s not a winning idea.

For me the ultimate extra, either for this or for ROTJ:R would be a short film by Ady about how to get something of this nature done.
Covering the pitfalls, the lucky breaks, the lessons learned the techniques in practice, the team work etc
There are so many films that could benefit from this sort of redressing.
The Alien films loom heavily in my mind here that it would be inspirational for other editors to make a short about the making of revisited.
I love Harmy’s breakdown of the sources of his reconstructions, something of that length and scope would be ideal.
For the second time in my life I’ve had auditory hallucinations when waking.
It sounded like there was loud R&B music being played directly into my ears and then an Afro Caribbean male voice said something (in the manner of a DJ I guess).
“Don’t be alarmed, something good is going to happen soon, keep smiling” something like that.
For a moment I felt like someone had sneaked into my room and put headphones on me because the music and the voice felt so real but that’s sleeping disorders and long journeys to work.
Cool weirdness though.
Over a year ago I was pressured into taking out a gym membership because my partner was not working and didn’t want to hear me exercise at home.
I didn’t mind that.
The gym was great, well equipped, the staff were friendly.
I got this job and I love my job but it means I’m hardly near the town where the gym is and they don’t have a branch of that chain in the city I work in so I tried to cancel my account.
I was directed to go online to cancel it but I couldn’t log onto the site.
I tried to change my password but the verification system went into a loop.
I wasted hours trying to get the thing cancelled.
I took to Facebook and whoever was manning the desk gave pretty awful sneaky reasons for getting more money out of me.
I cancelled the debit.
I will probably be pursued for more money for a gym I can’t use.
But you know what, I got paid today.
I worked hard and well in a job that improves lives.
It’s sadly a souring of a sweet day that good people like the people that work at that gym are being managed by incompetent boobs. That and Tom Baker isn’t well. I hope he gets well soon.

The more I see of Krennic the more he reminds me of JeJerrod in earlier and superior draughts of Revenge of the Jedi. I wish there was a way of making JeJerrod less weak in the final film.
Somehow make his deleted scene in the third act HD and reinstate it into the film.
Not really enough though is it? I would replace him with a new scripted performance.
