It’s fun but I think it’s a bit too blue and dark to match the usual effect. Originally the hologram footage was filmed off a CRT monitor. I don’t know if you could do that. I always thought the subtitles could do with alterations so it doesn’t just duplicate Greedo’s scene. It would still have to match Harrison’s lines.

I took six of my kidneys out and sold them for donation funds. They keep growing back anyway.

I’m still miffed Leia wasn’t Snoke. Hopefully one day someone will be able to do that film. Until then this looks fun. Like the prequels there is no high art to debase by playing with alternatives. By breaking his saga Lucas unleashed a wave of creativity that Disney has kept feeding.

I just sold my sixth kidney. Hopefully that will do it.

Between yourself and what SomethingStarWarsRelated was attempting to do I can see a fun watchable Star Wars peeping out. Be careful with cranking the contrast up too much. Some of the footage is very difficult to see at times. The action cuts are really good. Big plus being the lack of research rubbish changeling effects, even the name sounds stupid

That was another Kiltwalk. It ended being 27miles because I had to get to the starting point and from the finishing line. Normally we have all four seasons at once but this year we got Autumn in April. Rain with intermittent grey. The organisers split the event over two days so the shorter walks happened on the Saturday (in torrential rain) making the long walk not as densely participated and the usual enthusiastic crowd at the finishing line wasn’t very impressive. I got lost at one point because the signage wasn’t too good and I couldn’t see anyone else doing the walk as there weren’t as many kilts this time either. Thanks again to my donors. The link should be good for a few weeks to come. I am now sore in places I didn’t know I had places.

Episode 1 wasn’t as silly as RTD openers usually are.

Are any short cuts in reducing the gerf of the baseball bat Luke wields in ROTJ or would it have to be done by hand?

The Dooku fight in AOTC always seemed topsy turvy to me. I think it comes from an attempt to create anticipation for the very silly Yoda acrobatics. Surely sword fighting is less of display of prowess than throwing the environment about and shooting electricity out of your hands?🤔

It would change it. As to screwing it up, the proof of that pudding would be in the tasting.

When the Falcon is caught in the tractor beam the ship shakes but only while they fight it. Once the engines are off it stops and as Threepio on the Tantive says ,“They shut down the main reactor” before the scratching sound. It would require a music cue change to work. But it might be doable.

It was the timing of the sound and the sequential timing of the exterior and interior shots I was more concerned about. But it is nice to know some of these things are happening. It certainly flows better. That’s what I like about Ady’s work at its best its invisible without comparison because it feels like it should have been that way in the first place.

For me I will always think of Skeet Surfin USA.

Watching the opening scenes on another thread reminded me of this and forgive me if I’ve already posted it. When the Tantive 4 is being pulled in to the hanger of the Devastator you can hear what sounds like the docking claw scrape the hull and then the film cuts to an exterior shot and the claw hasn’t made contact. If the shots were resequenced you could have the exterior followed by the interior and the scraping sound would carry more impact. Maybe the claw could be slightly animated like its opening in readiness for the ship. Also could Threepio just say “There will be no escape this time”? I’m sure there is a wookiepedia page devoted to why he pretends not to know who Leia is to Luke but he doesn’t need to mention the Princess anyway as she is mentioned in the crawl.

In another post I made years ago I had Luke turn up at Ben’s hut which was meant to be the rendezvous place and Ben gives the talk there. Completing the conversation that started Luke on his journey. Explaining that Leia is his sister explains why they are both impulsive when it comes to saving people they are attached to over saving the galaxy. Its a very Anakin thing.

ROTJ has a lot of the same problems as the Prequels. It’s definitely a step down from ANH and ESB. Its why its the one OT film I’m most looking forward too getting the Adywan magic. It’s currently broken in every version. Not so with the first 2.
