If you have good memories shuffle those to front of your mind and keep a hazy placeholder of the bad memories at the back as a warning.
It’s a shame but the world is full of people who aren’t doing that so set course for them.
You never know, when her personal crisis concludes you might get a response that makes sense.

I suggest you show these texts to your boss.
If anything to cover your back.
I wouldn’t respond to them though.

Try to take comfort in the fact that she’s doing what she feels is best for her right now. Respecting her and her choices is a great thing to do, and maybe when she’s feeling better you guys can rekindle something.

Breakups are tough, so just hang in there and try to find some joy in a hobby or school or work or whatever you get up to. Take the time to find yourself a bit.

Thank you so much for the advice! Sad thing is that she is also planning on moving to California for the summer, and if she likes it there (she probably will), then she would move there permanently. So it will not work out period. It is quite a rough truth to accept.

Send her a card saying you understand the decision and respect her wishes. But remind her that you remain her friend and can be called upon if needed. When this sort of thing happens feeling that you have burned bridges can be a burden in of itself. Giving the power to her to call on you if she needs to may be of benefit further down the road. But respect those boundaries and try your best to get on with things yourself. All the best.

I find it amusing that Doctor Who almost did a story about a female dominated society during Patrick Troughton’s tenure in the late '60’s. Can’t recall why they never went into production with that script, but they probably dodged a bullet in any case.

One of my neighbours loaned me his son’s PS3. More than half the games not working went down to 2. So it’s definitely been the consoles at fault. So Thursday I have to take it back again.

Really it’s CEX who are the issue here.
Either they are selling consoles that don’t work or they are selling discs that don’t read or some combinantion thereof.
If the next round of disc swaps don’t work I may press for a refund (their policy is to do this in vouchers rather than cash which probably means ending up with something else that doesn’t work).
Annoyingly the shop I bought the console in is in the town I live in not the town I work in and it was an impulse piece of retail therapy that just backfired terribly.
Should have got a Wii U or a PS3 somewhere else.
The shame is what plays, plays well but most of the games I’ve held off playing for years now will not. So no Bioshock, no GTA, No Red Dead Redemption, No Portal 2, I can’t even play the South Park game. I hate confrontations of any kind. I feel really tense takig these things back. The staff are really nice but the end effect is exactly the same.

The first two were superslims (500g) the latest one is a Slim (180g) I picked up about six games with the refund vouchers I got the last time I took back games but they didn’t have copies of and one worked. I have to return the three Deep Space games (I got one to work briefly yesterday but I don’t know how) to ebay two games to Gamer and about 15 games to CEX.
It’s torturous. Either they gave me three dodgey consoles or 15 dodgy discs but what I don’t get is how different discs on differnet consoles can fail in the same way. I’ve never encountered anything like it before. It’s like I’m being trolled by aliens…again
