I have the same concern. How long are we realistically looking at here? 10 years? 15 years? More? Is this really feasible? And will 720p be an acceptable format after so many years?
If I were Adywan, I would be looking to share the project with other well-established and successful fan editors/artists, in order to share the burden and reduce production time (e.g., Aalenfae has done some outstanding visual effects work on the PT).
I know it won't be based on an existing story. According to the official announcement, Ep7 will be an original story.

Wow, this is awesome!
The ground is moving beneath the entire Star Wars franchise.
As for the new animated show, I'm putting my money on an Old Republic series. The cinematic trailers for the video game almost feel like they were produced to test the waters (a 'pilot episode' of sorts).
I'm just glad the focus is shifting away from the Clone Wars era that began in Episode II. After a decade of watching Republic clones vs Separatist droids, I feel like it has played itself out. It's time for something a little different...

The petition itself is not the problem (although, don't the distribution rights remain with Fox?)
The problem is the fact the petition is being submitted via Change.org.
I'd love to see Chloe Moretz as Han and Leia's daughter. She could easily pull-off the swagger of Han and the strength of Leia. Also, Kick-Ass proved that she has great physicality.

I'm so not excited about this. For the past couple of decades his work has almost entirely comprised of floating heads and lens flares.

Flemyng acts like a hyperactive 5 year old in that interview, but he appears to answer all questions posed to him with genuine sincerety and enthusiasm.
I would now be very suprised is Vaughn isn't officially anounced to be the director within the next month or so...

It appears to be a genuine 'cat out of the bag' moment. Maybe Millar lied to us about Vaughn being unavailable (wouldn't put it past him).
I remember the ITV premier of ESB on Christmas Day 1988. It was broadcast the same time as the Back to the Future premier on BBC1.
I remember setting my VHS on a timer to record one movie, but recording the wrong channel by accident (I wasn't too upset, as I have always been a big fan of both movies!)
Ah.....nostalgia ain't what it used to be!
