Johnston, no thanks, was it not he who destroyed Jurassic Park?
I think he actually did a good job with JP3. The problem with the JP series, IMO, is that all the movies are a bit 'samey'. Johnson can't be blamed for that.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the release of the original movies on BD would constitute 'distribution'. Therefore, whether or not the OOT gets released on BD would remain the decision of Fox, not Disney.

Fun idea, but I'm still waiting to see what Disney does about the OOT on blu-ray and then I'll see how excited I can get about anything else.
They won't do anything, because the rights to the OT were not part of the $4.05b deal. In fact, the rights to the OT remain with Fox until 2020.
I'm sure Disney would want to go with a younger, fresher-faced director for the new movies. My guess would be JJ Abrams. His enthusiasm for SW and success with the Star Trek reboot (which had a lot of SW-like energy) would make him a good choice.
Nice.
I think the ultimate aim of the new trilogy should be to bring the story full-circle and end with the Republic and Jedi Order in firm control of the galaxy once again.
Throw in the remnants of the Imperial fleet as the main threat, and maybe even the Kyber crystal as a mcguffin, and I think you have a pretty good premise for a new trilogy.
True. But not all the Jedi are human. Yoda, for example, was over 900 years old when he died.
Remember when Obi-Wan altered the signal in RotS to warn any remaining Jedi to stay away from Coruscant? Maybe an older Luke (having ensured stability in the New Republic) could embark on an adventure to find any Jedi that remain in hiding, with the ultimate aim of establishing a New Jedi Order.
They have both been very quiet on their Twitter accounts.
Why would he have lunch with Carrie and Mark about the new movies if they have no involvement? Just to give them a 'heads up'?
The seventh movie, with a working title of "Episode 7," is set for release in 2015. Episodes 8 and 9 will follow. The trilogy will continue the story of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia beyond "Return of the Jedi," the third film released and the sixth in the saga. After that, Disney plans a new "Star Wars" movie every two or three years. Lucas will serve as creative consultant in the new movies.
...
Disney CEO Bob Iger said Lucasfilm had already developed an extensive story line on the next trilogy, and Episode 7 was now in early-stage development.
With such a tight deadline, I would imagine that the ST will be more CG-light than the PT. That can only be a good thing.
If they throw enough money his way, I'm sure Mark Hamill will be up for playing Luke for a new trilogy (keep an eye on his Twitter account!).
Otherwise, recasting wouldn't be out of the question, especially if there is a large gap in story time between the OT and ST (as there was between the PT and OT).
In Disney I trust. They are doing a good job with the Avengers movies and I am confident they will do a good job here. At least the franchise is now out of the hands of George Lucas.
I think he's talking about that slapstick scene on The Invisible Hand where R2 gets the better of 2 super battledroids. He spits oil at them and they slip around, then he ignites the oil with his jets.
Nice work on the soundtrack replacement.
Just out of curiosity, what formats will the edit be available in?
Love your opening. Much better than the theactrical version, and it's good to see the young Peter Weyland (strangely missing from the theatrical version).
I watched the deleted scenes last night. Made me realise how poorly the theatrical version is editted (especially the scene when the Engineer attacks Shaw).
Sounds good. I was hoping someone would attempt an edit of this movie. What are your thoughts regarding the many answered questions and confused story points within the movie? Will you be simplifying or streamlining the story at all?
I predict Ady will push the release back to the end of the year. But difficult to see, the future is.
Will do. Thanks again.
I'm trying to get the AVCHD version of this and have downloaded from Usenet, but Winrar says Part 005 is corrupt. Any ideas? Thanks.
Hamill is an amazing actor and is hugely under-rated. I can only assume he had a lazy agent in the 80's!

Got it. Thanks!
But the fleet is surrounded by stars. So, either they are looking at a galaxy within a galaxy, or they are looking at something else entirely.
