I agree. It was just the execution of those basic ideas that was a horrible, hurried mess (Eps 2 & 3 in particular).

I finally got round to watching these edits.  I have to say, the editting is very skillfull.  In particular, I loved the way the dialogue was editted in AOTC to make the love story more believable. 

I remember during the making of these edits, I am sure the AOTC fireside chat was going to be included (albeit a very trimmed version).  However, it appears to be completely removed from the edit.  Q2 - did you change your mind or are there actually 2 versions of the edit floating around?

Anyway, I was never a fan of the fireside chat and I am glad it was removed from the version I saw.

Order vs Chaos is a classic archetypal battle. 

Fans of Babylon 5 will know what I am getting at  ;)

The only way to achieve true balance to the Force is to balance light and dark?

The Jedi represent order.  If you live by their code you are not allowed to have contact with your relatives, fall in love, have a family of your own, or develop any kind of emotional connection that may sway your actions.  It’s smothering.

The Sith represent chaos.  If you live by their code you should act on your emotions, put yourself first, and ultimately betray your parental/mentor figure.  It’s unsustainable.

These are simply opposite ends of a spectrum.

The PT ended with the dark side outweighing the light (following defeat of the Jedi).

The OT ended with the light side outweighing the dark (following defeat of the Sith).

Maybe the ST will end with a true balance between the two (akin to the truce during the Old Repulic era).

Take another look.  It's clearly not a completed drawing.  The struts are an indication of how big the wings will be - and they look in proportion to the cockpit.

I think it really comes down to this:

RotJ + Nostalgia = "The best SW movie"

On a purely subjective level, it's difficult to argue that RotJ is a better movie than the first two.

I personally like the SE ending to RotJ.  Apart from the Hayden ghost.

Can you tell us about your approach to bridging the PT with the OT?  In particular, do you show the birth of the twins and the death of Padme?  Also, how do you retain the surprises of ESB?  (I apologise if the answers are in the Vimeo clips - I am unable to access them at the moment).

It's fairly easy.

1) Download uTorrent 2.2.1 ( prefer this version over the newer versions)

2) Open uTorrent, and click "File" -> "Create New Torrent"

3) Click "Add Directory" or "Add File" (depending on if the source files are one file or many)

4) Include links to desired  torrent trackers.

5) Click "Create and Save As..."

6) Go to the torrent site of your choice and upload the .torrent file to it.

Ryan - I've just PM'd you an invite to Myspleen. Personally, I would prefer Myspleen over Vimeo, as I would be able to download the movies. But, of course, I would be relying on you to learn the whole Bittorrent thing (I have no idea how to turn a video file into a Bittorrent, so don't ask me!)

Yearly releases (or twice yearly) seems to serve the Marvel Studios movies pretty well.  I think diversity of characters and themes is the key to success here.

The fact that theforce.net has not been hit with a 'cease and desist' from Disney speaks volumes.
