Lego Star Wars beat us to the punch! Still, I’ve always liked the idea.
I’d support fan edits that eliminated episode numbers for the OT. It’s probably just me, but it allows for more flexibility in the series and gets rid of needing to watch either the PT or the ST.
I’m one of the people who wishes for faneditors to make the most out of “save the reveal.” I know the way in which the movies were made and marketed, but that way truly blew.

I suppose splitting ROTJ into two movies would have been an ideal pursuit. Draw out Vader’s redemption by having him go semi-turncoat, slowly demonstrating the error of his ways and undoing his damage from within. Maybe he spends more time with Luke, as Luke planting the seeds of doubt and pulls some of the “light” out of him.
Something akin to how Dragon Ball handled Vegeta’s redemption arc would be ideal.
I’m just going to adjust the levels a bit on the “Don’t ask me to do that” and “I’m so sorry” (or just remove it, I’ll see how people receive it), and add that dramatic cue Chips suggested for Obi’s appearance. This should more or less be the last thing I figure out before I have a workprint ready.
The “I’m so sorry” is an excellent addition, especially since it makes it look like Obi-Wan still sees potential to redeem Anakin (which is important for Saga continuity, especially ROTJ).
I’m really looking forward to this one. You’re doing good work in making ROTS fit with TCW, especially with Anakin’s arc.

I’m really enjoying this! I think my preference is to have both the “I see through the lies of the Jedi” and “Don’t ask me to do that.” I don’t care for “If you’re not with me,” even though it makes sense in the scene. I could also go for silence since it works well to heighten the tension (as if Anakin is speechless here).
The Lapti Nek scene is pretty short as is. It’s only Jedi Rocks that turns the scene into a musical number. I feel like people forget this.
I’ve just never been keen on it. The terrible puppet kind of kills it for me. If it’s possible to just cut straight from the droid workshop to Leia arriving, I’d take that shot. It would mean erasing Oola, but I’m sure it could be done.
I like what Ady did with ESB Yoda, adding more subtle facial animations and fixing a few errors. If he continues that into ROTJ, I’ll be pleased as punch.
The only puppet that truly is awful in the OOT is Sy Snootles:
Adywan has planned to fix the lip sync and add some animations to the puppet. However, I’d argue that it’s just an awful puppet and further proof of why the whole musical number scene should just use the Lapti Nek instrumental and lose like 30-40 seconds off of its running time.
The biggest change in ESB was the color grading. Where Hoth was originally white, in the SE it is blue. I am torn on the change, because I grew up with the SE color grade and I never hated it.
This is actually not true. The Hoth sequences were originally blue theatrically, but then turned white for the subsequent home video releases.
The “home video” colors are a real sin of a lot of OOT preservations.
I just prefer Adywan’s re-edit, just using the existing footage to tighten it up. Granted, Obi-Wan igniting his saber first is a bit “problematic” and the prequel music doesn’t work (Purist, without music, is better), but it’s better than SC 38.
But for real, Dennis Lawson dubbing over Wedge’s lines in IV and V would have been nice. It would have eliminated “Fake Wedge” before “Fake Wedge” became a thing!
No respect or regard for the Prequels.

With the exception of Ben, I don’t really get this suggestion. Anakin, Yoda and Obi-Wan have no meaning or significance to Rey. They did to Luke, but we already got that scene at the end of Return of the Jedi.
What I think a lot of fans don’t want to accept (and to be honest, I don’t think Abrams and Terrio wanted to accept this either) is that the OT characters are not the main characters of these new movies. The protagonists are the new characters: Rey, Ben, Finn, Poe, and Rose. Any OT or PT characters should be there to support their character development, not to steal the spotlight.
Obi Wan has significance to Rey. Anakin has significance to Ben Solo, who would be there in this version. The thought of ending the “Skywalker Saga” without at least Anakin having some importance seems off to me.
Exactly. Everything, and I mean everything, hinges around this character and how he affected the entire galaxy.
“You must unlearn what you have learned.” It wasn’t the story of Anakin until the prequels reframed the saga. The ST has simply reframed the saga again.
This is an accurate statement. All Anakin really needed to do would be to show up as a voice, which he did. Maybe if you included him appearing earlier in the film somewhere (e.g., a vision) using ROTS or Shaw stock footage, then putting him at the end would be justified. It was only “his” story retroactively from about 1999-2015 (quite frankly, Obi-Wan should have been the primary protagonist of the prequels). Now that it has been reframed, there’s no need to treat him like the main character of the saga.
The Pods were fantastic. All of em. Great idea, great visual design, great sound design.
The race & the racers were horrible, but.
It made for fantastic LEGO sets and I’ve heard good things about the video games.
It’s probably for the best that Lynch didn’t do ROTJ. I can’t imagine Lucas would’ve give him any more creative freedom than he gave Marquand. Lynch’s ROTJ would’ve likely been as tepid a film as the ROTJ we got, only with some minor casting/aesthetic differences.
I kind of wish Cronenberg directed ROTJ, if only for a bit of body horror. Imagine a partially-skeletal Emperor, a distorted Jabba, or a less humanoid Vader.

Not only that, she flew it without replacing all the parts that were rusted and corroded by being submerged in the ocean for several years.
There must be a Star Wars equivalent of Summit Racing Parts. I’m sure she could get one-day shipping on a few T-65 parts. 😉
Mos disappointing thing hands down was no Anakin. I wanted him so badly and we came so close to having him in The Rise of Skywalker. Without him any new movies are meaningless, because he is the Chosen One

My only problem with Han in Jedi is his jealousy at Luke.
Han & Leia fell in love in Empire and even tell each other!
Leia’s first word’s to Han in Jedi is “…Someone who loves you.” !!!
Then Han spends the rest of the film jealous & suspicious of LukenLeia.

It’s not a complicated situation. Han has zero reason to be jealous of Luke. It just makes Han seem like a stupid teenager.
Throw all the clichés at it ya want. It’s bad. Real bad.
There’s also the fact that it’s just two scenes and can be cut with ease. When Luke leaves Leia, wipe to the landing platform. With the second scene, just arrange the lines like this:
“He wasn’t. I can feel it.”
Han looks at Leia, confused
“He’s my brother.”
