I always thought they were at the back of the base at this point (bare in mind the falcon just flew out of there a few moments ago if memory serves me correctly) so if the cave entrance was changed slightly it might make more sense.

I don't know if you freeze that clip at about 7 seconds in R@ and the two battle droids are the only ones with colour the red screens gave it a bit of life but I can see where you guys are coming from
