Honestly, I don't think a 50GB disc is necessary for this release. The bit rate will still be fine and there will be plenty of audio tracks on a 25GB disc.

I showed a buddy of mine who is a lifelong SW fan, but not a member of this forum the short making of documentary and I thought his head was going to explode. He's now excited for 2.5 beyond words. The effect you're having on people with this project is amazing, Harmy. :)

Good Lord, could there be a few more Debbie Downers in this thread? We're finally getting new SW films without Lucas screwing them up and people still find things to bitch about. Just goes to show when it comes to SW there are always going to be people who will NEVER be happy no matter what happens.

The format does not matter nearly as much as the final 2.1 version itself which I am DYING to see. Thanks for all your hard work, Harmy.

Will the 2.1 AVCHD be out before the Blu-ray or are you planning on releasing them both around the same time? Just curious.

I guess the question now is how noticeable will the difference in video quality be between the Blu-Ray and the AVCHD?

No difference here on a 27" HD monitor. I think the faster settings are fine.

Exactly. It will be a good 10 years if not longer before there will be mass streaming of content with the picture and sound quality of a Blu-ray.

What's even more amazing is that one man, Harmy, is doing all of this and not a team of people like ILM. Impressive, most impressive.

Don't know where you live, but it was 90 degrees here today so that's a little too warm for me on April 2nd.

Things seem to have gone a little quiet in this thread over the few days. Maybe everyone is out enjoying the warm weather instead of sitting inside on the computer. Lol.
