Yeah I just figured that out but it doesn't solve the lag problem... thankfully, I found AOTC online! I'll download ANH:R AVI tomorrow.

I still don't think they suck. 2 out of three of them aren't the greatest but they don't suck. See, Jar Jar didn't bother me because I was a kid when TPM came out, now however I hate the bastard, but in all fairness, if it wasn't for Jar Jar or a kid Anakin I don't think I would've loved star wars from such a young age. The podrace made me bored though, due to a lack of music. The duel at the end was AMAZING and still is to this day. It was at this point when I watched an original Star Wars movie from begining to end, when I went and got TESB from my local library (I'd seen chunks of ANH before but never the entirety of the film). I loved it more than TPM, and then I watched Return of the Jedi and it was my favorite one. I went back at this point and watched A New Hope and I was VERY bored at times. Next came AOTC with less Jar Jar as I was a little older (12 maybe?) It didn't bother me, and the speeder chase kept me entertained (as I was only a pre-teen) the begining of the Clone Wars and Yoda's duel had me amazed. At this point my favourites were: ROTJ, ESB, AOTC, TPM, ANH. When ROTS came out I was so excited, I whent and watched 1 and 2, watched 3 and then the following night I watched 4-6. Slowly my opinion began to change as I matured and ended up being ROTJ, ROTS, ESB, TPM, AOTC, ANH. Now I see it like this: ESB, ROTS, ROTJ, ANH, TPM/AOTC

So they don't suck for me, it's just that on a whole, I like the OT MORE. I still love the PT. You guys grew up watching OT, I grew up watching PT. I've made my mind, I still like PT but again I like OT more.

Alright ladies and gents, I think I have some bad news here... it seems I'm doing something wrong while converting because the final conversions of A New Hope and Attack of the Clones are at 720X304 and not 720X480... also the the video will play a clip and for seconds after, it'll restart that same clip for some odd reason... So unless I can get someone else to convert it for me (I have the ripped DVD files which I can provide you with) But if any of you have ANH:R or AOTC in AVI/MPEG format with a resolution of 720x480, please send me a digital copy, otherwise I'll have to download a preconverted version (if I already own the films, am I allowed to re-download them anyways?) This really sucks...

The audio files I'm using are fine, it's just the videos...

See if you can make it so you can watch them back to back. That's what I'm doing, you might like that idea.

Yeah, I had decided to cut out the crawl. It's going to be titles being displayed similar to Gladiator or Troy. And I'll be cutting some scenes from A New Hope (scenes hinting at Luke and Leia inlove). Also, I was thinking that the whole Sifo Dias plot might get confusing having it mix into more story... and Jango is cut to be replaced by Boba.

Please keep it how it was in ANH:R. Keep it consistent my friend. If you had glows in ANH:R, then do it here, but seeing how you didn't don't bother. And the width of the sabers in ANH:R were perfect IMO

Well it's possible for some scenes while others it isn't. Example: Scenes without music will probably have music and some scenes with the music tracks on an isolated track will be replaced. It's all chance really. I'm still kind of worried about the outline I've done and whether or not it will be confusing. One of my friends told me it's a Tarantino version of Star Wars based on my outline, haha

This is my first fan edit awell. And mine will be a maximum of 3 hours and 30 minutes long. It'll be three great epics that when played back to back will be a 10 hour film. See the first page for the outline mrbenja0618

The audio and video for ANH and AOTC is now ripped to my computer and converted. Editing will begin this week. I still need the AOTC deleted scenes though............. I'll see if any of my friends have the bonus disc, maybe I could borrow it.

I fix the aspect ratio and everything but now it's pixelated and laggy.... I just ran a scan over the source DVD and Adywan's cut is 720X304 with a 23 framerate... so looks like I wasn't bringing down the quality.... now onto AOTC!

Damn it still came out bad.... it came out as 720X304 with a frame rate of 23 instead of  720×480 at 29...

However, an NTSC raw video can only be 720x304 at 23 frame rate.... so I will keep this file, and try and convert it again on a seperate file using super and see which comes out better. If not I'll have to stick with the 304 and stretch it to 420. You won't be able to tell the difference.

I have a bit of bad news, my AOTC and ROTS bonus features discs are scratched up, I found them behind the TV :(

Could someone please upload the AOTC Deleted scenes I mentioned  at the bottom of page 3 in DVD quality with the correct framerate etc?

Well I found the solution to my earlier problem (with the low quality) instead of converting the IFO file to an AVI file I convert the VOB to an AVI. So I'm recopying the CD from my ex. HDD to my int. HDD so the connection doesn't get lost half way through. But I plan on hitting the ground running. Expect the first trailer this winter.

Well seeing how I'm running low on time, I'll need to recruit one or two people to help me with the Subtitles and the DVD Menu.

No I got the 250 for $100.00

They had the 320 for $140 but I wasn't willing to pay 50% more. If they had the 640 I would've got that cause it's only $20 more. Odd how the 640 is cheaper than the 320. I think it's an online exclussive, and I didn't want to wait for it to come in, so what I have is fine. I have a three year waranty with the manufacturer and I have 1 year for a full money back. I think I'll probably return it next year and get the 640 when it's under 100, haha.

Can I make subtitles with Vegas WITHOUT compressing it to the video file?

And Ripplin, do you know how to make DVD menus?

Now that I have a bigger hard drive, I'll just rip the second disc of ROTS and AOTC and download the Purist for the scenes I needed. I might leave the Adywan cut of the duel, I'm still debating that.

If I could get someone to do the DVD menu (something similar to Adywan's Revisted Menus, only I'll be giving you guys a precise layout and the clips)

And if I could get some subtitles too.

I'm not using adywan's Duel scene because I'm gonna use an alternate score, which is why I was wondering if someone could upload THAT scene alone. I mean seriously, why would I download the purist for just one scene?
