Is there plans to make Anakin disapear out of the Vader Suit like Yoda and Obi-Wan did? It seems like a continuity error to keep his body intact when two scenes later we see he became one with the force. Keeping the burning of the suit still makes sense IMO (Symbolically ridding the evil of Anakin).

It's not that much of a continuity problem as Qui-Gon didn't vanish either (he even got burned on a pyre like Anakin).

My taking of the Force-ghost thing is, as explained by Lucas at the end of ROTS, Qui Gon had been studying immortality through the force, Like Darth Plagus the Wise and made his return from the wilderness of death, we are now led to believe that in his return he now communicated with Yoda and Kenobi in their retirement and educated them in immortality. Palpatine was also studying from Plagus's instructions and was passing this knowledge on to his apprentice, Vader, but I don't know what happened, wether Plagus's knowledge was faulted or immortality doesn't apply to Sith, so perhaps when Vader repented by saving his son the knowledge he had acquired was enough for him to become one with the Force.......or is that a load of crap?

In the novel it said that Plagus never ended up finding the path to immortality for himself due to the fact that absolute love is required. It kind of hints that he tried to, or that successfully saved someone (some say he created Anakin) that he loved but his selfish quest for absolute power lead him to the darkside. Qui-Gon finds the path to immortality but the closest he could get to it was a kind of gateway point where he could commune with Yoda but he himself didn't necessarily become "one with the force" and turn into a force ghost. The only people in the films to successfully do this are Yoda, Obi-Wan and Anakin, and considering the first two disappeared I'd consider it a continuity error.

ut I have to take care of the Falcon first, which is happening to be a huuuuge task as you can imagine!

Heres one of the images I used to wrap the Falcon model, its of the Finemolds Falcon kit (you can see the inaccuracy of the angles on the mandibles), the second is the bare 3d model (downloaded from Sci-Fi 3D) and the last is the Finemolds image modified to fit on the 3D model.

Anyway heres the model in motion

I'll be getting the entire Adobe Creative Suite 4 (and 5 once its released) and the Mac Creative Suite Pro (Including Final Cut Pro). I get free programs for the next three years due to school, hehe.

And I just checked my paycheck, I didn't get enough. In fact I don't even have the $100 to put aside for the Mac! Maybe in Feb. or March I can afford to get the graphic card seeing as Jan to mid Feb I never get any hours.

The DVD menu options will be as followed:

When you pop in the DVD you get the opening logos, a quick 10 second montage and the shot of Padme's ship flying towards Tatooine. Now the main menu will be Luke on Tatooine looking out to the setting suns and in the corner some stars form a little preview screen featuring important points in the film.

We have three options: Play Film, Special Features and Audio Settings. Once you chose an option, we see the Millenium Falcon leaving Tatooine.

For special features we then see the Millenium Falcon flying towards the death star and we cut to Vader approaching the bridge (I'll be using the Death Star Construction scene from ROTS, removing Tarkin, Sidious and the Death Star) and I'll be placing a button in the window for "Return to Main Menu"

On one side we have Deleted Scene, On the other side Trailers (the SW:Reborn Trailer, SW:Renascent Trailer and Spots and the ESB:R Trailer) and a possible Image gallery (with all the posters and banners I made) on the bottom.

If you select Audio Settings from the Main Menu, there's a shot of the Nubian lifting off and landing on Coruscant. We cut to the Jedi Archives menu scene in the Attack of the Clones Menu. On the left we have Standard Track and on the right Commentary. Bottom, right in the middle is return to main menu.

If anyone thinks they can make the videos for the menu that would be awesome. This way when I start on the menus, the videos are already made!

You can get Vegas for Mac though, can't you?

Unfortunately you can't get sony vegas for the mac, which means no DVD architect either. You're better off going for a PC over a mac.

I have to buy a Mac. I think I'll buy the Mac and then slowly upgrade this PC (all that I really need for the PC is a Graphic Card and an AC Powered External HDD). I might be able to buy the graphic card this weekend. We'll see how it goes. And in terms of accessing Sony's Creative Suite, don't forget about BootCamp.

How about these ones: (just right click>"view image" to see them full size)

Those are great, too.  The helmet looks a bit off in the upper-right one, but to use the upper portion of the upper left one, or all of the bottom one (though that would take extraordinarily difficult cutting) could also look great.

Sorry if I'm off topic... Anybody has the red one (down) in high res... I need it (among others) for a booklet for my edit. Thanks.

Couldn't you pass this to a trusted 'other' to do if you are so close to completion?

I'm sure that with detailed notes to work from there would be someone on here happy to help.

Considering the only things left to do are to make a trailer and a few spots and the DVD Menu, I'd rather just finish it off alone. I think in terms of Spots I would prefer some help.

If anyone on here is good at making trailers and spots, I'd love it if they could make either 20, 30, 45 or 60 second spots to be featured on the DVD! If people did this I'd only need to make the trailer and the DVD Menu.

I'll be posting the DVD Outline Preview in a minute for you guys to visualize and inpout ideas.

Bad news, I can't continue until I get a new video card!!! The driver won't properly install (due to it being a legacy model now) and I have to get a new AGP video card with DivX 9, 128mb internal memory and a 2.0 cell shader. Everytime I try to open a moving image I get the "bluescreen of death". Unfortunately all my savings right now are going for the Mac (as I need it for school) so it looks like this project will probably have to go on hiatus until August 2010. Sorry guys! It really pisses me off that I finally have the outline for the trailer, the renders completed and the computer's speed recovered and then this happens. I'm not giving up on this edit just taking a really long break. Sorry again!

So I've reformatted now and reinstalled vegas and architect. If I have too many colours or particles being emmitted on my screen at once I get bluescreened because I don't get the same original driver support for my video card as it's a legacy card now. A new graphic card is gonna set me back a bit. I think I'll probably just suck it up and get to work on it like this. Also my HDD is starting to get all wonky due to damage to the cable so I'll have to replace that cable too buy an external powered HDD, transfer the files over and then reformat the USB powered HDD. The other hard drive is a priority for me right after I get a new computer but the video card not so much seeing as by the time ESB:R is released I'll be using the Mac Pro.

Expect the Trailer Next BTW

Aw crap now I gotta buy a new graphic card!!! Ahaha since the start of this project I've bought:

New Monitor

New Speakers

New HDD

New Keyboard and Mouse

2GB of RAM

And now I have to get a new graphic card... It's just funny to look back to how I started out with 512MB Ram, a laggy keyboard and mouse, Stereo speakers, a 30GB HDD and a huge CRT and how now I've ended up with the list above.

Alright I'll fix it. I dunno if I can fix the AOTC one but I can fix the TPM one. Also, the bits of audio transitions that are not seamless can't be fixed. I did what I could with them and now the audio won't load properly in the newer version of Sony Vegas. This isn't as noticeable as the random frames, the music transition is simply a fade out to a cut (which was the best I could do) instead of two cuts (which would have made it worse).

It's two frames. Again both are beyond repair. The AOTC one flashes back from Anakin and Obi-Wan too quickly, and the TPM one can't be fixed. Something happened when I ripped it or converted it and everytime I cut that frame out, the net frame would just be replaced with the extra frame. Unfortunately I can't fix it. You'll have to make do with it. Remember that this isn't an obligation, this is something I'm doing in my spare time and 1 frame isn't worth another 14hrs of rendering.

It finally worked!!! I just watched through it. To be completely honest, there were a few audio transitions that kind of stood out (like when I took out little snippets are stupid content from AOTC. It's not cringe-worthy though. Not as noticeable as the audio transition from ANH:R's new duel sequence (by the way, I was able to patch THAT)). In terms of video, there were two parts (a flashback to TPM and Anakin and Obi-Wan outside of club) where one or two random frames appear. I couldn't fix these because they were caused by poor framerate conversion from 23.976 to 29.7 on the original AOTC and TPM DVD's. When DVDFab or GordianKnot tried to remove the pulldown it resulted in some a bunch of frames being thrown around. I patched all the other mismatched frames that I could find from the workprint (the HQ one) and missed the AOTC one due to the fact that the video in that scene went completely black to begin with and I hadn't included TPM yet. I'd say it's good to go. Things left to do:

Reformat my computer to regain speed

New Poster

Complete the Trailer

Update the site

Start on the DVD

Web-Spots

Special Features: Trailer and Spots, ESB:R Trailer, Poster Gallery

Deleted Scene: Star Wars: Reborn Opening

POSSIBLY Language and Audio Menu: Subtitles (English and MAYBE French) - I need to learn how to make Subtitles first also a Commentary Track - I might just release this later if people want it.
