You actually think laserdisc is superior to Bluray!? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! You ARE senile!!!
You actually think laserdisc is superior to Bluray!? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! You ARE senile!!!
Damn this sucks... now I need a new graphic's card! Haha! I guess I'll wait til I get a job.
Are you completely against Bluray? Like I mean, do you own The Dark Knight on Bluray?
Haha, if I do I'll be sure to include it in the "Special Features".
So after messaging him on youtube this: "Why did you put a million people from the OT.com forums on your ignore list? Sorry, I'm just curious. A video response would be appreciated."
He responded:
The odds of connecting (STAR WARS OT) with my username over here is very slim. I like to know why you, are hassling me, about this? Oh its probably that silly waste of time thread made by that (TV Frink) Well he needs to get laid and get life rather than spending 24/7 on STAR WARS forum making silly threads up every 1 hour or so...
I have but a few on the ignore list. I guess there must be malfunction in the settings I wasn't aware of so and so on the ignore list. I can't be asked to look into it, because I have better things to do than talk about STAR WARS again, the bluray is going to be mega crap for HD picture and sound in dtsHDMA mark my words.
Once bitten, twice shy I know what bluray is capable of! Its just been let down by the studios who would sooner manipulate colour balance way off the original target level! The sound is toyed around with re-mixes and I've personally had fucking enough of it crappy cheap HD bluray it's a waste of money and so is STAR WARS!
STAR WARS belongs on big original cinema screen in grand 70mm 6track Dolby stereo, that is how it was intended! That is how it made its millions...that is it.
Bye, bye take care.
Then I said:
It was just a simple question... tell me this: Who's obsessed? The one asking the detached question or the one giving a ranting answer?
Audio and Video were both rendered yesterday, but I fell ill yesterday with a migraine and vomiting. I have class today until 6, so maybe I can record my commentary track tomorrow night, and if not I'll have to do it on Friday.
QUESTION FOR ADYWAN
So during my progress for CWN, I realised a lot of the preview shots were laggy. I have a 2.6 dual core processor and 5GB of RAM - my graphic card is an Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset. I feel that the RAM and CPU are sufficient, but that I need a new graphic card. What is your opinion on the matter?
Everything has a rating of 6/7 in my hardware, but the graphics card and windows aero experience is only 3/7. Do I need a new graphic card?
The vBulletin search engine is really great.
SLUGGO, I LOVE YOU!!!!!!
I'm ignored by him. I saw his youtube page too - hahahahahah. I sent him this message "Why did you put a million people from the OT.com forums on your ignore list? Sorry, I'm just curious. A video response would be appreciated." And in his thread I posted... actually, just go take a look, lol. http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/I-will-refuse-to-buy-STAR-WARS-on-bluray/post/448275/#TopicPost448275
Oh J_T34, I have a question for you - what difference does DTS or non DTS make when you need a hearing aid either way?
...BAZINGA!!!
Thanks a lot for the input Angel! I actually considered grabbing those asteroids and other ones online, and creating particles out of them, but I honestly prefer having the default asteroid - now let me explain haha. PI3 was the first effects program I used - it was throughout highschool that I learned all the tips and tricks behind it, and I've left the default asteroids there as a reminder for me of when I started getting big into editing. I guess it's just a personal preference.
Also, I was going to use a black background at first, but I felt using the white would make it seem more crisp.
I know it looks unprofessional, but that's what I like about it, haha. It serves me as a reminder of how I got into editing and filmmaking.
By the way guys, I've finished taking my notes for the commentary track and have begun rendering the video file for the DVD.
Suggestions are wanted for what I can discuss during three moments in the edit where I don't say anything. Thanks again guys.
Haha, you know it! By the way, as I'm prepping for the commentary track, there are a couple places where I won't have anything to talk about. Anyone have anything they wanna know or hear me address?

They know he's the offspring of Anakin - that would make him 24 or 25 wouldn't it? I think he'd know...
The son of skywalker.. Not anakin.Who is the papa skywalker is unknown and dead by vader. (ANH) We get the name anakin in ROTJ.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKtciRCVpFE&feature=related
SE messed with that for a more PT connection.
Palps wanted to seduct anankin for the imminent death of padme. He didnt mention about his kids. Otherwise if palps knew that he had children they would have obtain them asap. Ben mentions this plot in ROTJ too.

Ah that's right, but either way, they would know how old he is, no?
They know he's the offspring of Anakin - that would make him 24 or 25 wouldn't it? I think he'd know...
Haha, I like the look of that one more. I might even just remove the asteroid field and have the "A" fly in. Not exactly sure why the audio on Youtube got all weird...
Alright guys, I am now rendering a low quality WMV file so that I can do the audio commentary tomorrow.
Brilliant!
Not having Yoda at all would just leave people going "why the hell have we never heard of this guy before!?" by the time the audience gets to ESB.
Here's the new logo sequence:
ady, I'm not sure if you caught it or not, but I posted a question on page 815 at the bottom in regards to graphic cards. Much appreciated.
I think you may misunderstand my intentions - I'm not saying that those are things that should or should not be cut in a fan-edit, I'm saying those are things Lucas should have kept in mind when making the PT.
Wow! Why have I not seen that before!? That's gonna come in handy!
First off, Yoda was essential - especially the way they talked about him in the OT, the same goes for Bail Organa. Places like the Jedi Temple and the Senate were either mentioned or alluded to, or were good ideas. Some aspects of the PT were really fantastic (the senate, the jedi council and the temple, naboo (not the gungans, but the main idea behind the planet and the two worlds in one, and the architecture... it was fantastic), Mustafar and Coruscant (which were meant to be the setting of ROTJ (Coruscant's core led way to the development of Mustafar), Felucia (so good that even James Cameron stole it!) and even Kashyyk - hell even the "chosen one" subplot wasn't bad, they just milked it too much and it should've been a kind of subtle plot not this whole "vergeance in the force" bullshit.
Don't get me wrong, there are a LOT of issues with the PT (Qui-Gon's existence, Anakin being "too old" was bullshit - he was the right age but OBI-WAN was supposed to be too old, Yoda was meant to train Obi-Wan, the Clone Wars was barely addressed, the Dark Times were not even addressed, Anakin was a whiny little brat, when he seems like he would have been the Jedi equivalent to a preppy, goodie-two-shoes know-it-all kid at a boarding school who unexpectedly turned to the dark side, the idea of the midichlorians, Jar-Jar and the Gungans, the whole Kamino/Clone conspiracy crap, the over use of CGI, etc etc) - even with all that terrible stuff, it would be ignorant and foolish to deny the good things that also came with the PT (however few it may be to you).

Consider this: a full-time editor is supposed to finish editing a film in 1-3 months for a feature film, and then there's also 2-6 months for effects.
It depends on what you're up against.
To name one editor's work (Uncanny Antman);
Jericho Cane took him one month only (on-and-off).
If he could have worked non-stop, he probably would have finished his work in half that time.
Dark Angel: Children of the Revolution, on the other hand, took him around a full year, again, with on-and-off periods.CBB worked only 9 weeks on War of the Worlds, Extinctive Cut,
and a measly 15 days on Reflections. It depends on what you're planning to do with your edit, how much free time you have (you can not predict future events), and not to mention the experience and materials you have at your disposal.
Obviously there are exceptions, I'm just giving you the industry standard I've learned in film school.
