We Are The Walking Dead (Mini-Series) - FANedit project (* unfinished project *)

I have TONS of notes and have re-watched the entire thing and have been trying to assemble a faster paced story but not to the point where everything feels rushed and sloppy.

A lot of season 4 already feels rushed and sloppy =) For instance...I'm not sure how to word this without spoiling anything, but the two sisters, the comic characters that they're based on are there almost from the very beginning, so you really get to know them...but in the show, they're revealed so quickly that their storyline really has minimal, if any, effect on the viewer.

I know I'm talking about apples and oranges here, though.

I had a funny idea where you could take all of the material you're excising from the show, and make a "boring edition" fan edit out of it @_@

Gosh, that sounds like a real big mess of a project. Even the creators of the show have been struggling with that.

I haven't seen season 5 yet, but in season 4, they were trying awful hard to get back to stories from the comics that the previous seasons had skipped, and to flesh out characters who had been in the comics since the beginning, but in the show, had only just been introduced. Seems like it would be a nightmare to try to rebalance the first three seasons, and it would be impossible to slow down the new characters' storylines to a sensible pace.

Also, I would think you'd have to pull a LotR and change where each season begins and ends, since IMO season 2 has the most "filler".

I don't see blended frames/fields in the rutracker or on the youtube link above.

I get them in the YouTube clips, but this machine isn't set up to run YT at an optimal framerate, so maybe that has something to do with it.

Why don't you grab it yourself from rutracker since I can't convince you?

It's not that I'm not convinced, I was just seeking clarification ;) If the only thing wrong with this DVD is PAL speedup, I'll have to try to find an ISO of it or something. I haven't seen this movie in ages, and the Disney disc is near unwatchable to me.

Was this supposed to be a DVD5?

I know this means absolutely nothing, but the NTSC release is less than four gigs.

...I guess they've lost some SW credibility by announcing rapid development with "spin off" films.

They also may have lost just the teeniest, tiniest, smallest, most insignificant amount of credibility when they threw the Holocron into a blazing furnace meant for biohazard waste, and maybe just a fraction of a fraction of a percentage of credibility when they kicked LucasArts in there with it and slammed the door shut behind them.

I can't remember what it's called, I tried looking it up real quick and felt like I was wasting time finding no answers...it's where they simply blend the frames instead of separating them first, when deinterlacing.

Like the middle example in this picture:

Speaking of wasted time, I'm real glad I didn't spend very much of it trying to stabilize the NTCS version.

Change "Sorted by" from best to new (it's just above the comment box). This only works on a thread level as Reddit is really not that well suited to a forum style dialogue.

That just sorts it so the most recently created threads are at the top. I'd like to be able to see new replies without having to open up every single thread and skim it.

Asaki, I agree that the BD doesn't look bad outside the blanket green added.

The only green I notice is in the shots where everything is illuminated by tons of fluorescent bulbs in the floor, which is something you'd expect from a film of its era...they also happened to be the pinkest of the LD shots, so it's hard to really compare them as-is.

I barely even noticed the dirt, and the grain is supposed to be there.

There were a couple scratches that were distracting, but they only lasted for a few seconds (I've seen movies at the theatre that had a big scratch down the entire length of several reels).

The pink tint was pretty distracting, but now I've got FFDShow installed so I can tweak it to my liking.
