Recently I bought The Dark Crystal Limited Edition OST on ebay. Disc 2 contains the complete film score. I thought it would be nice to make a DVD that contains the film with an isolated music score. Would anyone be interested in this? Or has this been done already?

In the past I used compressed audio. First 128kbps mp3, later 256 or 320. Now I don't make compromises anymore. It has to be uncompressed (or lossless like FLAC) or nothing at all, just to be sure.
I think it depends very much on the instruments, the sort of music and the volume if you can hear the difference between 320kbps mp3 or wav.

The clicks and pops I heard so far in the record are easily removed with the auto click and pop remover from adobe audition. Not that I'm going to remove them, I like the LP sound

and I already have the 4 disc longbox if I want to hear the cd sound. Thanks for sharing Mark!

For me it was:
- The way how Anakin turned to the dark side.
- The continuity errors with the OT.
- In ROTJ Vader says: "You don't know the power of the dark side". It sounded so cool and powerfull. I was hoping in the PT I would see the ultimate dark side of the force, but I didn't.
- That I didn't see Anakin "hunt down and destroy the jedi knights". (Oh wait, we did, he killed unarmed padawans).
- I was also hoping to see the battle in which the rebels steel the blueprints for the death star as told in the crawl of Star Wars (ep IV).

You can use DGpulldown to change the framerate, that way you don't have to re-encode the .m2v stream. You can pulldown the PAL video to 29.976 fps and use the NTSC audio. Then you keep the PAL resolution and don't have the PAL sped up audio.

Where do i start with answering your question?

I started purchasing Laserdisc's in March 1998 97% of my collection are from the USA.
3% are PAL (but most PALS are not that good.)

From 1999 to present day i have been purchasing many titles from Japan and i must admit i do prefer these (the cover art and quality covers faultless.

By the end of this year i should have completed the purchase of most title i am looking for

Currently have reserved in Japan with one seller aprox: 45 titles and aprox: 8 titles with another.

I did not realise how attached i would be to the format, but i am glad i did.

I love changing the disc's, the sound of the players and so on.
The only drawback about this format is the cost of the disc's and player's, but i guess that's the price you pay for being different.

Shall be purchasing a Brand new Pioneer ELITE CLD 97 in August, from a seller in the USA which will take about four payments.

In July i will be purchasing an HLD X9 from a seller (friend) in the uk which will also take about five payments.

Finally i shall be purchasing a Pioneer HLD X0 in 2008 from one of the sellers in Japan who will have the player fully serviced before shipment.

All this has been a labour of love for me and also a struggle, but i shall eventually get there.

Well he was a German/Swiss. When he went to America he became an American. He also kept Swiss nationality but got rid of his German nationality. But whatever his nationality I think he's one of the greatest men that ever lived.
