Doctor Who

What are some good Classic Who episodes? I was gonna try and watch the all over time, but the first two 1st Doctor Arcs were horribly boring and slow. I watched the Tom Baker Ark in Space one and liked it, but the following story involving egypt and such was horribly boring. Anyone know of a list that has the best of each Doctor? I really want to get a better idea of Classic Who, but its been so hit or miss.

My favorite episode with William Hartnell as The Doctor is "The Space Museum".

I hope someone finds the Marco Polo serial one day...

My point was, it doesn't bother me about the Sith, when I was a kid of 9 years old in 1977 & all the information a kid could get of Star Wars was what was given to you, Snaggletooth, R5-D4, Power Droid, X-Wing Fighters, Star Destroyers, Y-Wings,......all these ships, vehicles.....aliens & people....their names weren't mentioned in the film....along with that was Darth Vader Dark Lord of the Sith

It made perfect sense to name the Dark Force users Sith in the Prequels (about the only thing that did)

Good point(s), Jaitea.

I will ponder this further.

The local megaplex actually does this regularly now, basically showing blurays of older films on their megaplex screens, and I got to see a lot of movies on the big screen for the first time because of this. It's a fantastic program. One per month (voted by customers) called "Most Wanted Mondays" followed by an annual film festival called "The Great Digital Film Fest". I saw Jurassic Park on the big screen for the first time just last year :) still going to see it in IMAX later this week though.

Cinemark does this as well. It's called the Cinemark Classic Series and they project a digital copy of a different classic film every Wednesday at 2PM and 7PM.

They're showing The Godfather tonight!

Should I change the thread title guys to Raiders?

Lets please make our won thread for a Raider Discussion, I have zero interest in this.

There's already an Indiana Jones thread. Things just got derailed a bit here.

I know, I read it, I am just hoping we can get back to our project, which is Terminator 1 & 2.

Thanks

I'm looking forward to it. You and You_Too work well together. The colors, most of all, look amazing and are possibly better than the colors in the LD and DVD releases.

See, I'm 24, which is just about older by enough to have been exposed to the original version first and that seems to have made quite a difference to my perception of things.

That'd put Harmy at about 8 years old when the SE's came out theatrically, which actually does perfectly land him in a time frame where he'd get good exposure to the close-to-theatrical home videos first.  I hadn't really thought about it until now, but I suppose a birth year of around or just after 1989 is about the cutoff for Star Wars fandom vs SE apathy.  Granted there are exceptions (many of which we'll cause on purpose in the future with Harmy's work), but overall that's probably a good standard to gauge by.

1988 here. I grew up with the 1995 THX "Faces" P&S VHS set.

Come on, how many Sam hints are needed?

Through messages on YouTube, Sam insists that 'blowfish' is not him.

I don't think Sam would be soo aggressive right off the bat. Besides, he has a hard enough time just visiting us with a proxy server.

They started posting in off topic, and rarely ventured into the rest of the board. They also focused on specific people pretty quickly. Feels like someone who's been here before to me.

Me, too.

I definitely think it's Sam.
