The two things I found most distracting/annoying about ANH:R were

-Additional Wilhelm screams. That scream takes me right out of the movie because it is heard EVERYWHERE and is not unique to Star Wars. In fact I was hoping it would be removed when Chewie throws the Storm Trooper off the carbon freezing deck.

-Overly bright/colorful laser blasts. Just because they are in the PT like that doesn't mean they work in the OT. Consistency for the sake of consistency is not always the best idea.

Lasers new rotoscope is one of the big ups of R saga :) i wouldn't imagine it without them.

The scream is epic :P

I think a yellow saber in a yellow enviroment dont fit :)

Think again. Qui gon in trade fed battleship at endor erm naboo, tattoine and with maul.

you should take these enviroments that have diferent colors to see how it looks :)

Yellow-Bluegray, Yellow-green, yellow-yellow orange, yellow with yelow gray. Yellow with red ray shield doors.

Tests!

EDIT: use snapshots not still images. They capture the movie feeling much better :)

Hoth could have multiple (but distant enough to keep the planet cold) suns, ala the movie Pitch Black... but adding another sun or two would be more hassle than it's worth I would think.

same as tattooine shit. two light suns two slight different shadows.

I'm toying with the idea of recolouring Qui-Gon's lightsabre to yellow. To make him more of a Jedi Sentinel type character that I feel would go along better with the Qui-Gon I've created in my edit. Thoughts?

nah! yellow? why it is a KOTOR game? Sentinel what? from matrix?

Quick Blue-jean must have green. Or I agree with Ash that all jedi must have blues and luke makes the damn difference :)

In the Battle for Naboo, perhaps the Naboo could piloting X-Wings, or early Y-Wings, in pristine condition instead of the curvy things they have in the cut we have now. And also, maybe a few shots of the Millenium Falcon wouldn't go astray. Perhaps have it somewhere in Episode II, being used by Clone Troopers.

I like the idea to add/replace the shiny noobians with some more retro ones.

BUT, i wouldnt put some allready known ships from the first movie. I mean dont put pre X wings just because it look more OT or just look cool, or match or whatever..

There are plenty of designs that never used and can be used to some PT space battles.

ROTS doesnt need any change at all.

MF has enough cameos to the films. no need to be protagonist again.

I think some V wings from Rogue squadron and some very very good designs from Star wars Starfighter. i was wondering why lucas never use them in the movies........

Also this scene isn't meant to be set on the bridge. That's why they closed off the window and why i won't be adding the control room to the shot after vader walks down the stairs so it remains a corridor. Noting to do here (apart from the impossible continuity error of Piette magically appearing at the end of the pit which is impossible to fix)

No in the bridge? then where? all points shows that is the bridge.

Always you know something more than me so be my guest :)

Well, ady zoom the image when vader leaves at the final scene and with that way he covered the misplaced alcone/exit without showing the end of the other pylon.

if the bridge have a continuity the alcone section defines a more correct approach between shots.

If that is true then the panel that is in the middle of the path in ROTJ is correct. ( we see the same in ESB the pica above)

The matte changes the actual set so the establishing shot be more clear.

As for  the floor contrast that was a stylized move lol.

Also see some detail is lost. I mean.

the path that leads to the bridge is lighter that the stroke around the hole that the officers are.

so:

Edit: big pic:

Also impfighter take a look at this.

Just wondering ady, when the falcon fly bys from the SD bridge and need and the other dude are rising again can you add some motion blur to their movements/outines. because the keying seems to taken care the feather edges.

Also you can spot the difference when needa leaves. The motion appears in the set but not in the space.

EDIT: now look how gentle Needa is. he has even a rouge makeup :)

Im referring to the awesome... i mean bad skin tones sometimes.

Do you see similarities?

Aint having a go at your ideas V!

Just this one reminded me of Star Trek (not that theres anything wrong with that).

The images you post are the second biggest  Hi-Light in this thread.

Keep up the good work

QUESTION: is anyone else getting plagued with MySpace pop-ups in explorer every time they go to (whatever) page?

Scanned my system, and flattened it, and nothing came up.

I have somethin worse than VD.

the highlighted link is broken..

Try adblocker addon. It works with firefox it blocks automatically and manually some shit adds all over the place. :)

While thats the idea I'm thinking of, the visual seems to be overkill. It should only be a blueish color, correct?

Yes and no.

I mean you are correct but id like to have more that one color in one shot.

Or keep the blue and add some lasers from the SD :)

In the shot of the Falcon turning around to "take on" the Star Destroyer, when it boosts, the engine "fire" or whatever it is, looks very animated, like a cartoon (in my opinion anyway).

Ady, will there be any change to make it look more "realistic"?

Take it from ESB ROTJ wishlist thread.

Seems no one bothered to look there

One of the things I always hated about the Star Wars Books/comics is that they made the Bounty Hunters seem like a mix of SWAT-trained, Special-Forces hardened, know-it-all, tech-geniuses rebellious superheroes and that bothered me.....being Boba Fett the main representation of that approach. Boba was an orphan clone who had to learn the ropes on his own, if he was clever to piece the trajectory of the MF better than the imperial officers who had the might of the Empire behind them, that was just (I think) a once in a lifetime break, since in ROTJ he fails miserably to stop a half trained Jedi like Luke. It really is hard to imagine how the Imperials with all their computers couldn't just plot a trajectory or have a sensor to detect the MF there, but still.....Boba was by no means infallible.

Some good points there.

The bounty hunters have several backgrounds. either are fallen soldiers or hunters of a wild civilization.

Boba has no background when you see him in ESB so that is a cool character that helps to the plot and lucas gave him something something something darkside whatever background in AOTC.

Their ways of finding things are like a metaphor that some traditional ways can beat computers and tech.

Rotj have some parody matters some time and like Impfighter said once, ady's saga will be the oficial instead of the dvds.
