I like the battle shots, but the ground ones are rather OTT IMO — they look like something out of The Lord of the Rings. All those shots really need is a slight depinkify and maybe cleanup, but the original images look a lot more real than the edited ones. If GL had released a version which looks like those edits, we'd be complaining about how yellow everything was. (Also, I always liked the little moon above the city lights.)

I like the way to make the scenes more dramatic. if its a sunset show the sun not only clouds.

Plus in the yoda shot I eliminate the stage lights that was reflecting to the floor...

It was sure about the yellow tint will cause an AOTC debate but hell i try :)

the moon was good but the image was flat for my tastes so i liked to add some more variation. the red sky is a metaphor to the dark times that coming.

Plo koon have some shots in the arena. make from there some mockups to see how the saber interacts with the environment.

Where/when will be vader and koon in the time of his murder?

Also i like that you said about "creative video compositing".

I still see the glows stops when they end the frame. how can you achieve vader to integrate with the environment?

You cant... I mean its really hard, time consuming, RAM/CPU consuming and at the end you will have a big headache instead of lightsabers.

I suggest you to try AE. Andrew Kramer has a nice plugin that allows you to make easy lightsabers with many addjustmens :)

Just remember. desaturate the green first and then apply the yellow.

Or just do the awesome way of Davnes007 that he keycorrect the saber :D

Now lets rethink some battle.

The black shadows are going behind the bad guys and the sun behind the good ones. Make gray the vehicles. Also lets reduce the cartoon like :)

Second pic i put a polution to the city and for sake reasons that night shots cant have these shadows i put an indication of a strong light.

Count again!!!

Guess again. More page streching :)

From Up left to right. Less lens lens flares and more OT lasers.

Now the panels are green more ROTS ANH like. I reduce the contrast to the windows to indicate glass and the light focus you on them not in the panels :)

Added death star force shit. Indication that is open the fighters that coming out. Remember neither in ANH or ROTJ we know where is open so i leave it as it have.

Less color again less lens flares and glows more like ANH:R

I think that the guards are Blue not cyan. Anyways i like the idea of blue (and not red this time) blue?...blue?/??

No its not a neat idea to make them red or to cover their faces :)

And more black and whites in space :)

Note the chromatic aberration that is in the federation station in the second set. I could keep this because i love this effect but with that way the model look is eliminated :)
