Time

Time travel in films is always sort of a leap.  However, I've always dug the Back To The Future handling of it - he goes back and does start to erase himself.  No convenient gimmicks or outs - he really does mess up the time line for himself as much as possible, by threatening his very existence.

That Time Machine story sounds like an interesting take too.

Who in their right mind is going to sell the OOT versions separately..."

Because....there are people who know that market exists.

I'm that market. There's no way in Hell I'd even consider buying some uber-box just to get one version of one of the films.

I have all I want now - the 1977 version of Star wars & the original trailer for it. I'd buy a proper release of it if it becomes available - but only if I can buy it as a single disc.

The truth is, it's just not that important to me anymore. There's so much bullshit surrounding all things Star Wars - and there has been for years - that I've long since worn out on it. That's why the transition to NPR-only was so easy. A good, clean, deeper telling of the story from my youth. No bullshit, no versions, no lies - just Star Wars.

Custom Action Figures
Time

His Victorian era Star Wars take is fantastic. That Jabba sitting in the big chair figure is much more along the lines of what I imagined as a kid. A big, grotesque bad guy - not some blobby worm who would have no real way to move around and could be overtaken by anyone who walked in the room.

When I finally saw Jabba all those years later, he wasn't menacing at all - he was just the start of me and Star Wars going our separate ways. Which we had by the end of the film.

.

I also really dig the guy's take on The Flash.

Hats off, man.

Look at the standings and see where you can make up a lot of ground quickly.  If you are 8th in runs but only 3 runs out of 3rd, you can get 5 points quickly by picking up a free agent who scores a ton of runs.

Speaking of that, I like the overview page for being able to quickly see where I am and how big a points hit + or - I took.

However, short of adding and subtracting each category from the day before on the full standings page, is there a setting that shows where exactly it was that I took a hit each day? Want to see if I can spot any trends that may need to be addressed.

DVD Active's The Ten (things that SW Blu-Ray should include)
Time

I suppose it's always nice to see reviewers, directors, publications, etc stating that Lucas really should do the right thing and properly release the theatrical version of Star Wars.  It's nice to know we're not some small niche website with some weird expectations or desires.

That said.  Over the years, there have been more of these types of articles than we can count.  They don't matter.  They're nothing more than someone wearing their heart on their sleeve, backed up with sound advice, reasoning, examples, etc.

Lucas doesn't care.  It doesn't matter how many times he's called out on it.  The President Of The United States could ask him to do it as a personal favor and explain to him it's the right thing to do for the good of all Americans as well as fans around the world - he still wouldn't do it.  In his world, there are only two choices;  What he wants - and everyone else's unimportant thoughts on the matter.

The more people push him, the more he digs his heels in. And truthfully, at this point - how can he do otherwise?  He's lied for so long about the "grand original vision", the destroyed originals, the original 12 9 6 films etc, etc, that he can't go back now. He's completely ego-driven.  He'd have to admit the lies - or at least put up with being called on them.

Anyway, we can dissect the possibilities a hundred different ways, but one thing is certain - whatever is released, it won't have the 1977 version on it.
