A compelling analysis of Rey’s character flaw in TROS and how it could have been fixed.

I just watched the whole video…I’m now super pissed Lucasfilm hired a “hack” writer like Chris Terrio for this movie who clearly doesn’t understand how write a character arc. God, why do such amateurs keep getting hired in Hollywood…so frustrating!

TBF, Argo was really good. That said, while I haven’t seen it, I’ve practically heard horror stories about BvS.

Here’s a rough idea for changing the music in the final scene:

As nice as this is, I wouldn’t end the Saga on character centric theme. The Force Theme, as overused as it is, is perfect because it’s universal within the Saga.

That being said, I wish I could rent out a theater and have a nine-day viewing of this whole thing with y’all. Hmm… maybe to commemorate whenever this is complete some sort of streaming thing could be arranged.

Probably not, though, right? Eh.

Would mods be okay with streaming the Saga on Discord?

I think we need to clearly establish healing fatal wounds as something only a dyad can do to each other. That will stop the audience from asking why no ever used that power whenever someone died. It’s only possible in those rare circumstances.

Force healing as a whole, though, gels quite well with the rest of the Saga. Perhaps Sidious healed Vader after finding him on Mustafarian shores. It even solves two plot holes with one stone in ANH, one of which I didn’t even realize was there. Why didn’t the Tusken Raiders kill Luke? Why did Obi-Wan sacrifice himself? Well the Tuskens did kill him, and Obi-Wan brought him back to life by sacrificing himself, though through his training he was able to maintain his physical form long enough to face Vader. But I’m getting off-topic here.

The fact that he’s stapled to GLaDOS implies he was more or less fatally wounded by Vader’s sacrifice, but I suppose informing the viewer that the machine has only slowed the process rather than completely halting it could be nice. Then again, that implies that Palpatine’s gonna die regardless if the heroes kill him or not. Sure, the threat of his fleet is more important to the Galaxy, but to the viewer, I think stopping Palpatine himself should feel like the most important thing. He is the main villain of the Saga, after all.

To me, dubbing any character and giving them subtitles is too big a deviation from canon. That’s why I don’t like a lot of TPM edits. You have to have Mesa Jar Jar Binks and Japanese Neimoidians or it just doesn’t feel like I’m watching SW. The same goes for Snoke.

That said, are there any other Andy Serkis roles we can pull from for Snoke’s lines?
