The alternate timeline premise great, but I’m never a fan of making a trilogy with non-trilogy films. It just feels off. You need a consistent cast.

Crawls have always been lazy exposition. The only reason they’re there at all is as an homage to old serials, where they were merely recaps of the last episode, not unlike the way their equivalent is used in The Clone Wars.

As for the Force healing it only heals mortal wounds by killing the healer, so it’s hardly OP. In my edit I went one step beyond and let a dyad heal each other without repercussions.

Well as it stands I cut the Tatooine scene because I’m cutting to credits on the celebration, due to the music, and it’d be really awkward fitting Tatooine between Exegol and the celebration. So I suppose that would mean just having one shot of Ben on Teth. I might add Tatooine as a mid-credits scene or something, as I don’t really have anything wrong with it. In fact I already have an idea for a rescore for it. Mid-credits is the only way I can think of to make cutting to credits twice work. The alternative is to do like the canon cut does and cut from the celebration to Tatooine. However, Victory Celebration really sounds like it’s meant to lead into the end credits.

As for the classic stormtrooper rebellion idea, I did share a proposal on Discord for how it could be done.
About to be executed, Finn and Poe are arguing about something other than Finn’s secret because that plot thread goes nowhere when they hear a shot. They turn around and see Hux dead, and the one of the stormtroopers says something idk what to confirm they did it and are on their side now. This would require a shot of a dead Hux on the ground and a shot of the stormtroopers. The latter should be relatively easily to create.
Back in the hangar, Rey’s looking for the others. She asks 3PO where they are and he says they haven’t come back. That’s when she sees not Kylo’s ship emerging into the hangar but rather the Millenium Falcon. That single edited shot should do the trick. No dumb lineage reveal to replace.
Maybe the Finn/Jannah conversation can be repurposed but more likely these rebel stormtroopers aren’t seen again until the final battle. There’s only really Kef Bir between their mutiny and then so it shouldn’t be too weird. Maybe insert them into the background in certain shots on Kef Bir. Anyway, they show up again in the final battle with colorful handprints on their helmets, echoing Finn’s bloody helmet in TFA. I got the idea from fanart I saw years ago but unfortunately did not save.
