That’s not the word “objectively” should be used for. Your opinion is not a fact.

Besides, “Love won’t save you; only my new powers can do that.” is by far the worst thing said in any movie, not even just SW.

But how? Don’t get me wrong, he’s a compelling character, but he’s not a credible villain.

So who’s the main villain now that Snoke’s dead? I made a thread about it, but it’s all glitched out. I’m guessing it was deleted for spoilers? I didn’t mention Snoke’s death in the title, but whatever. Point is Snoke’s dead, and Kylo’s neither intimidating nor completely evil. Who’s the main villain now? Someone on reddit suggested Snoke was just a puppet projection of sorts, and that the real person behind the First Order is hidden elsewhere. I guess that could work maybe?

Well I guess you can say it has a few point in common with ESB, but no more than AotC does.

Personally, I like the kid’s movie feel, and it makes it a little easier to forgive shortcomings, but I get that that’s not what you’re going for.

The ships look fake. I think it’s because they don’t have any moving parts or particle trails. You’re getting there, though.

End with “Shut that door.” It’s Mark Hamill saying it after all. Of course, do that only after showing the infamous conclusion of that scene from TLJ.

While it is pretty abrupt, I wouldn’t remove the dialog.

I like it. I don’t know if you’re aware already, but you can still see the edge of the wall above Obi-Wan’s head when he’s talking to Anakin.

You couldn’t do that without changing large amounts of the story. They would have to rethink it and reshoot most of the Raddus and Crait scenes and it would have pushed the movie back a year at least.

I think they could just recut the rest using shots where she wasn’t present, but I suppose that could maybe delay the movie another six months.

The Last Jedi feels like it’s a delibirate “screw you” to The Force Awakens, in the way that it handles the big mysteries it set up, and the fact that it’s not even remotely derivative of TESB. I say go see it. It’s a very different experience.

To that I say screw them. We never got to see the original three reunite, after all.

The difference is that there were no major changes beyond replacing CPY.

The BIG twist was finding out she’s just some girl that came from no one noteworthy.

I saw that one coming. For me, the real twist was Snoke dying.

I interpretted it as the rebellion is reborn in spirit. It’s still technically the Resistance. It’s like how the track “The Starkiller” is a sort of play on words, since the base is called Starkiller Base, not the Starkiller.

You’re gonna need a source for that claim that Leia won’t be in Episode IX. AFAIK, all they said was that they wouldn’t reconstruct her with CGI. I’m expecting them to repurpose footage from Episode VIII. If they weren’t gonna feature her at all in the next one, they would’ve had her die in VIII.

Anyway, the ideas proposed in your crawl are just an utter mess.

But didn’t Holdo’s sacrifice pretty much destroyed Snoke’s ship? So wouldn’t it be weird if the throne room scene occurred with half of the ship blown up and he’s just there doing nothing and so are Ren and Rey?

Did you even read my post? I said that moving the throne room scene would require moving Holdo’s sacrifice as well, so that half the ship isn’t blown up yet.

Ikr? I’m just undecided as to whether it would be redundant if he’s introduced in TPM.

You’re pretty talented and/or perseverent with VFX. Could you…uh…checks personal edit changelist…finish the background in the scene of Jocasta explaining who Dooku is? Or do I even that now that I’m putting him in TPM? Uh…could you add Mas Amedda and Sly Moore by the Emperor’s side in RotJ? Yeah, that’s a change undoutedly want. I gues that would require a whole other level of VFX skills, unless you can find shots from the PT to composite with. You’re not offering your skills for anyone else, anyway, are you?
