Tarkin in the clone wars.
Time

What's left to explain?

Vader's dialogue regarding the carbon freezing:

This facility is crude, but it should be adequate to freeze Skywalker for his journey to the Emperor.

He doesn't seem unfamiliar with the process.

I don't know why some of you don't complain about they using blasters. After all, it's lack of creativity too, isn't it?

If carbonite exists in the Star Wars universe, in what sense does it show lack of imagination? It's not like a villain is frezzing someone in carbonite to see if the facility is okay for his plan to succeed.

I agree that the idea to retcon an easter egg is stupid, however, I don't see it as universe shrinking (one could say that Vader being Luke's father is universe shrinking too).

Paging Anchorhead...

Oh no. What have you done?!

I might be angry at the 'Falcon in ROTS if it had rescued Obi-Wan and he hid in the smuggling bays from a patrol of clone troopers sweeping the ship and then the one says "There's no one here!" and they leave and Obi-Wan pops out of the hold and tells the Young Han Solo pilot "Boy, it's lucky you had these compartments!" and then patted the ship as he walked off and said "I foresee you will do great things."

But he didn't. And the fact is that it changes absolutely nothing in the movie's plot. The ship is on the screen for a half-second, and it's not a huge stretch to say that these two ships just happened to be in a very popular (especially at that moment) spot at the same time. So it's just a neat thing to pause the movie for that half second, say to your friends "That light blur right there? That's the Millennium Falcon." and have them be in awe of your nerdiness and then go on about your life. It has no bearing on anything at all.

This.

No, it's stupid that they felt it necessary to identify this particular YT-1300 with the Millennium Falcon. The X-Wing cameo in AOTC wasn't stupid, but itwould've been if Lucas had specified that it was the same X-Wing that Luke would fly some day. It's stupid because it's unnecessary universe-shrinking.

They said it was the MF on the DVD commentary probably because that's the name most people identify with. How many fans know that the MF is an YT-1300?

Qui-Gon is back

In all seriousness - so Qui-Gon in that episode... was he a force ghost or was he also one of the son's personifications?

It isn't made clear in the episode. Although I'm sure it's not one of the son's personifications, since he tell the truth to Obi-Wan about that place.

Since this arc is made of three episodes (and Qui-Gon will be back on the third one), there is more that needs to be explained.

They totally missed the boat on that one.  No prequel images, no jar jar, no hayden, no nuked fridge and shia in indiana jones, or aliens.  What were they thinking.

I didn't know that the Star Wars prequels and Indy 4 were part of your childhood...

As someone would say: Busted.
