In all seriousness, though, I do generally find your attitude in threads to be a bit snide, and while I haven't directly conversed with you often, the few times I have you never really came across as anything other than unpleasant.  So I probably am quicker to assume you're copping an attitude than with other members of this forum, even if that's not the case.  If I did indeed misinterpret the intention of your response earlier, then I do apologize.

Gaffer, he currently posts on TFN, so I think thats all you need to know about his attitude towards us.

"his attitude towards us"? Care to explain? And since when the fact that I post on TFN is relevant for the discussion or makes you believe I have a certain attitude (I'm yet to find what that is) over you? By the way, I'm not the only one from here that posts there. Is that a problem?

Um, which is why I said that it was probably due to his deficiencies as a director... Geez, do you even read my posts, or do you just look for the first thing you can bitch at me about?

What is wrong with you? When did I ever bitch at you? You were the one to jump to false conclusions with my post, and came out with posts like "whatever gets you through the night" when I wasn't even talking to you. Next time get your facts straight.

Whatever gets you through the night.  But I doubt it's sarcasm.  George is a crappy writer.  Even George admits it... or he used to before his head became three sizes too large.  Although in regards to the Natalie Portman question, I'd say it has more to do with his deficiency in directing actors...

The question placed by SliverWook has nothing to do with writing, nor with George being a good or a bad one.

How many of you watch the Clone Wars series regularly and what do you think of it?

Trash? The republic Commando series was awsome! it gave a good background to the mandolorians and their culture. More over, the planet matched their unique culture!

Oh right. Making them a bunch of Boba Fett's is so unique... Boba is nobody now.

but they weren't Bobba Fetts. They all have unique personalities. Besides, they acted like Mandolorians and not copy cats of their original host.

If you wanted to compare them to Bobba Fett from the movies, you'd fine there's a huge difference between the clones and him.

What? No. They all wear Boba Fett' armor, and they are a bunch of loners. If that's not what Boba Fett is, then I don't know what he is.

To put it simple, Boba Fett's uniqueness is gone.

The one thing that pissed me off about the series, when GL was advising about Jango Fett and the mandolorians, He freakin' declared Jango Fett not a Mandolorian!

That and he screwed up what Mandalore actually looked like. The moon the terrorist were on looked more like the Mandalore that i always read about.

One of those things that i dismiss and say, "It never happened".

Stupid ahiwa bait!

Who cares? That's Karen Traviss trash...

Star Wars coming to Blu Ray (UPDATE: August 30 2011, No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!)

Meaning, I think, that there's no one to challenge Lucas in his ideas, like Gary Kurtz did. So we end up with Jar Jar Binks. So you have a LFL populated by sycophants instead of a collaborative effort to create movie art.

On the other side of the coin, Lucas attitude and conviction (being free to do what he wants and how he wants) managed to improve some of his own companies like ILM (and therefore, cinema as we see today) and the move to digital cinema.

And who is to say nobody challenged Lucas ideas even in the PT? Maybe not at the scale of Gary Kurtz, but I believe he was open to suggestions. (As of today, I know he is with The Clone Wars animated series, as shown in many interviews and videos. And that's LFL nowadays.)

That still doesn't erase the fact that LFL and GL are virtually indistinguishable from one another, and most of the employees are just puppets of whatever GL is thinking about.

Puppets as in "do what they are told"? What's so wrong with that? Isn't that what an employee is suppose to do?

Well the release date for the Blu-Ray set has now been confirmed as September 16th 2011

http://www.starwars.com/themovies/saga/preorder_bluray/index.html

And our old friend kenkraly is straight on there with his usual comments ;)

That's not usual. This time he didn't mentioned "i want the starwars saga on bluray and it would be nice if it had the original trilogy too because of the original trilogy fans that dont belive it will be fixd".

What Is Wrong with This Picture? (from the ROTS script)

Ah, Qui-Gon, you amazing bastard. To have learned how to merge with the Force and retain your personality after passing the point-of-no-return that is death is truly a sign that the midi-chlorians are strong in you. Kudos!

While I appreciate the virtual milkshake, I really don't understand what's wrong. The fact that he can teach it to others is important. But then again, there is no point in arguing or searching nits about a script part that was cut and never used for the movie.
