If the slow motion was a technical error then the lightsabres would have been animated differently in every frame to give the slow motion effect, but they aren't , so the way the slow motion happens with frames repeated is intentional and therefore i will not be doing anything to change this effect.

As always, it's your baby, but I for one am glad about this decision.

Star Wars Blu Ray Impressions
Time

I like the star wars saga on blu-ray I like the whole box set picture (episode 1 cause of the DNR is ok but not great on blu-ray)  , sound , extras , deleted scenes , everything. I just like it that we have all 6 films on a format that we can all enjoy. Sure some will not be happy with the new color timing of the OT and the UOT are not on blu-ray that goes without saying.

Hi, Ken! Welcome back. Now that the BluRays are released, are you ready to admit that you were wrong about the inevitability of the colars being fixed?

What was the worst scene in....................................The Phantom Menace?

In my opinion, the worst scene is R2's introduction sequence on the queen's ship. It's just so painfully ham-fisted and cringe-inducing. "Look, kids! It's R2-D2! Remember him? From those other Star Wars movies? Well here he is, and he saved the day!! Neat, huh? But wait! In just a few minutes, you'll get to see how he met C-3p0 for the very first time!" *facepalm*

I have to disagree there.

Sure you could have had Artoo go up second and another one after him.

Sure you could have dwelled a little less on him as he went up the little droid lift thing.

But the scene shows Artoo doing what he was designed to do and he is the true hero of the saga even if Uncle George attempts to diminish his achievements by dwelling too much on those Skywalkers.

Sorry, guess I wasn't specific enough. I was referring to the sequence where Panaka brings R2 before Amidala for commendation, not the actual shield-generator repair sequence.

Extremely Silly Website: digital-fanedits.com (Was: Extremely Silly Article About Star Wars Prologue On DVD)
Time

It's always amused me to note that, in general, the most egotistical people have the least reason to be so. I followed Prologue fairly closely prior to its release, and downloaded/watched it shortly thereafter. I found the experience to be more painful and cringe-worthy than sitting through the official PT itself.

As someone else mentioned, his visuals are fairly impressive, and one or two sequences are laudable. But the overall editing job is so poorly done, the entire thing just feels hacked-up and confusing. My wife (who isn't a hardcore Star Wars fan) sat through it with me, and couldn't follow the plot to save her life. We were especially taken aback by the train-wreck of an ending. It's like AntiMatter went so far with the project, decided "eh...that's good enough," and just released it unfinished.

The really hilarious part is that he doesn't even accomplish what he set out to do. One of the major objectives of this fanedit was to restore "saga secrecy," i.e. preserving Vader's secret identity. In the beginning of the edit, this purpose is served by deleting any reference to "Anakin" when Vader's dirty ROTS deeds are referred to. When he gets to the end of his edit (the Palpy-Mace-Anakin confrontation) AntiMatter is clearly out of ideas, so he slaps a two-second shot of Dooku showing up unexpectedly, and then ends the edit there, with no dénouement or closing sequence or anything, just a bad montage of a few random ROTS scenes. He explained on his site something to the effect of "now when you watch the OT, there's a 50-50 chance that Vader is either Anakin or Dooku." Which really doesn't make any sense at all. Even ignoring Dooku's advanced age in ROTS, the fact that he retained all the ROTS footage showing Obi-Wan and Padme discussing Anakin's (some unnamed person's) youngling killing spree and expressing disbelief/concern for Anakin (the mysterious stranger), pretty much rules out any reasonable person from concluding that Dooku did it (whom Obi-Wan and Padme neither know particular well nor care for).

In short: it's a garbled mess. It's kinda laughable that AntiMatter deemed it worthy for public release when it was obviously a rough draft, and a poor one at that; it's pathetic that the sycophants on his website rate it so glowingly; but it's just downright sad that the place has decided to define itself as a juvenile, anti-OT.com, anti-FE.org, den of self-congratulatory wankers.

Is Part 3 of Anything Ever Good?

That goes without saying!

In fact, Escape is what made me realize how much I really enjoyed Curse. While playing Curse I just kept thinking, "Ah man, more Monkey Island, this is great! But it just isn't quite the same..."

Then Escape came along, and I once again gobbled it up and beat it in a few days, had fun along the way but still felt that, "Ah man, more Monkey Island, this is great! But it just isn't quite the same..."

A few years later a second replay of Curse was every bit as enjoyable as the first time, and perhaps even more fun because I'd anticipate coming up on the parts I had really enjoyed the first time through. But an attempted second replay of Escape proved completely unenjoyable. After a relatively short distance into the game for the second time, all it took was thinking about the inevitable Monkey Kombat I'd have to once again suffer through toward the end of the game to convince me my time could be better wasted.

Escape is a distraction worthwhile for anyone who just can't get enough MI and is willing to play a crappy game to get their fix. But Curse on the other hand is a genuinely great adventure game, even if it doesn't mesh so well with the original games and isn't the third part that was intended by the series creator.

Couldn't agree more. I've always had extreme difficulty mustering up the patience for a replay of Escape. I think I'm fond of the idea of playing it through again, but my enthusiasm always ends up tapering off somewhere in the process.

BTW, have you tried the (relatively recent) "special editions" of MI 1-2? Updated graphics, game engine, sound, what-have-you. Personally, I find them a delightful companion to the established series, but they'll never take the place of the two original games. Still, those in charge of the projects are to be commended, IMO, for their assiduous faithfulness to the source material. Also, it's kinda nice to hear Dom's voice speaking MI 1-2 dialogue (which I always found a bit wittier and better written than that of 3-4).
