Idea: Integrating the two trilogies thread
Time

From the ROTJ screenplay:

Obi-Wan Kenobi said:

When your father left, he didn't know your mother was pregnant. Your mother and I knew he would find out eventually, but we wanted to keep you both as safe as possible, for as long as possible.  So I took you to live with my brother Owen on Tatooine... and your mother took Leia to live as the daughter of Senator Ogana, on Alderaan.

Of course, how a faneditor would go about communicating all that to the viewer is another matter entirely...

Doctor Who

Agreed on all points. Personally, I think Matt Smith makes a fantastic Doctor #11. His first season is without a doubt my favorite season of New-Who.

My feelings on Doctor #10 are mixed. On the one hand, David Tennant was born to play the Doctor and excels at it. Also, there were some serious high-points for this doctor and he's usually very likable, engaging, and entertaining. On the other hand, as his tenure progressed, I began to grow more and more exasperated with how the character was written. I suppose I'm more a fan of David Tennant than I am of Doctor #10, if that makes sense.

Incidentally, if you ever get a chance to catch "Planet of the Dead," I'd go for it. Although the Tenant Specials weren't too good, "Planet of the Dead" was the best of the batch IMO and is really rather entertaining.
