Understanding the saga - A perspective from T.F.N
Time
I found this at TF.N (link here). It has given me a entirely new outlook on the saga:

"I have had a major problem tying the trilogies together since I have all 6 SW movies on DVD. I can enjoy all 6 movies, but some I love more than others. But this thread isn't for anyone who sees it as one saga, you needn't read on:

I have divided it into 4 parts of the saga:

Part 1: Episode I
-This is a prologue to the whole saga, this is the jedi in their heyday, the republic at its finest, the finding of the chosen one, the beginning of the rise of the Sith. This is nothing more than a setup to the other movies.

Part 2: Episode II & III
-This is the story of Anakin Skywalker becoming Darth Vader, and his downfall. This covers two Friends Anakin & Kenobi and their adventures as Jedis, the romance of Anakin & his wife Padme, and the tutoring from his silent mentor, Chancellor Palpatine. This is a personal story of how one goes bad, as the Empire takes over the galaxy

Part 3: Episode IV
-This is the story of the Rebels vs Empire. This is a simple story of how the rebellion wins their first battle over the empire, who has ruled for twenty years. There are clear good guys: Luke, Leia, and Han, and there are clear bad guys: Vader & Tarkin. This is not a personal story, but a struggle between good vs evil.

Part 4: Episode V & VI
-This is the story of Luke Skywalker. This story is about Luke becoming a jedi and being tempted in similar ways his father has, and in the process being tempted BY his father. In the end he does not give in, and Vader redeems himself by killing the same man he pledged himself for over 20 years.

As I said, I just connect the two trilogies, for some it works, for me it doesn't. This way I still enjoy the original SW as the standalone movie that it is, and still my favorite. I can enjoy TPM more cause it doesn't seem as distant from AOTC & ROTS anymore cause it is just a prologue, not 100% part of the story, and I can enjoy ESB & ROTJ together as Lukes story cause they were written that way after the original SW was such a success. For some older fans, and seeing 4,5,6 in the theaters, it just aint easy marrying these trilogies, so for anyone who is interested give it a try, you might just enjoy all 6, but don't have to compare them anymore."

Yeah, Moonraker has always seemed to me to be a little... farfetched for a Bond film. I mean, it's obvious that it was a cash-in on the whole Star Wars/sci-fi craze of the time.

so this was out night out back in nov. four of us girls went to Plan B during reading break and there happened to be a pub crawl that night. of course i was using my classical pick up line 'you from outta town?" and sadly the guys were not giving the answer i wanted to here. towards the end of the night we were pretty tispy and i had my disposable camera with me. this guy in the pic (we still have no idea who he is, or how we started talking to him) came up to us and starting sweet talking my blonde friend. in the meantime, i was standing around waiting for another gf to show up as she had disappeared with some guy earlier that night. that is when matthias came over to chat. holy greek RANDOM. talk about hotstuff. well we didnt get a pic with the greek boy, but this random here was like so ladies anyone up for an after party? and we were like no we're cabbing home. and he looked all disappointed, and then had the nerve to ask, 'so ladies, this may seem really out there, but are you guy up from some orgy action?" we all kinda looked at each other, and then i put my arm around my friend ( with double Ds) and said 'i'm sorry, we don't swing that way" and my friend who got the message was like 'yeah, *as she put her hand on my blonde friends ass* we aren't into guys" and he looked soooo taken back it was prob the funniest thing ever. he left, and came back 5 min later with 4 of his friends and they were trying for another 15 min to get us to party with them later on that night.

god i love pretending to be a lesbian.
but i love boys even more

It's not a very good idea to try to change someone's religion. That's worse than anything. People take those sorts of things very seriously with their conditioning and all. IMHO, one of the biggest problems in the world are all these people out here trying to get others to "see the light."

but the Ewok movies arent exactly good

I wouldn't say that. The Ewok films are designed to specifically be children's/family films. Comparing them to the theatrical films does not work. They are two totally different things. The Ewok films are just "sidequels," so I don't think they should be compared to say, ESB... or even TPM.
