LOL...now you clump these two films together to make your point? Nice try.

I'm sorry you didn't get 2001, but don't blame that failing on Kubrick.

No one truly "gets" 2001, since in a film, people come away with their own ideas. Everyone merely "gets" their own interpretation. Hell, even Clarke's book is an interpretation, except it is directly from the creator of the story and it lays out everything out for ya'. And, as you should have noticed, I was making a comparison. What the fuck is wrong with that? I praise Kubrick for making nearly every element of 2001 ambiguous. That is the sign of a master filmmaker. I posed my libne about Kubrick as a question to you, of how you feel about him, not as a statement of my own personal feelings. What on earth gave you the idea that I have anything against Kubrick? I think you were a little too quick to jump to conclusions there, buddy.

If the O-OT ever came out, the future of SW is with the PT fans.
Time
Thankfuly (IMO), for the future, we still have the two new TV series (possibly more) to look forward to. Not to mention a massive supply, and constant flow of EU to keep the adventure alive. You put into words my exact feelings on the quality of the films, that ROTS, ANH, and ESB are the true classics, while TPM, AOTC, and ROTJ will always be flawed.

Who's gonna read "Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader?"

I don't "hate" the OT effects. They're great, but it would be nice in my opinion if he could do a little work on them. And I'm sure he agrees with me. I don't have a major problem with the effects, I only feel they could possibly be improved. They in no way effect the "excellent, excellent" story. In order to tell a good story, however, you need a good continuity within that story to make it a beliveable story. And effects at times are part of that continuity, like it or not. And the OT takew place after the PT, so no, the PT should not be made to match the OT, the OT, taking place after the PT, needs to be altered for continuity's sake.

If the book has to be read to understand the movie, then Lucas failed. Lucas has called himself a "visual storyteller", so it's preposterous to think that he left this little nugget in for the fans who read.

2001 did it. I supopse Kubrick failed? And with 2001, you are left guessing a whole hell of a lot of things that you decide on your own unless you read the book which flat out tells you what happens.

Lucas decided not to include it in ROTS, in order to focus more on Anakin's story, and had it explained in Labyrinth of Evil. Besides, it was best, IMHO, to leave it the mystery it is in the films. You know someone named Sifoo-Dias ordered the clones, but you know little about his him. So, you are left guessing if it was really Sifo-Dias, whether Dooku/Palpatine forced Sifo-Dias to do it before they killed him, etc.

Was the Frankenstein Walk Shortened in ROTS DVD?
Time
Completely understandable. However, I'll elaborate on the specific scene I was referring to:

In ROTS, you know when the scene shifts, near the end, from Obi-Wan and C-3PO inside the cockpit of Padme's ship leaving Mustafar, to Vader clawing his way up the lava bank? Well, in the theatrical version, a wipe is used to shift the scene. However in the DVD, it is a straight cut from the first scene to the next.
