He has NOT been named Chancellor for Life.

Yeah, not yet.

Nor do I expect him to be. But if something happens in the next 370 days to cause him to stay in office one day later than the end of his term, I will expect all the gun-toting wingnuts in the NRA to be the first to put their money where their mouth is and defend the rest of the very Constitution that guarantees their right to bear arms.

Why is it nobody ever blames the Democratic majority of Congress.

Because they have only had the majority for one year and in the senate especially, they have been blocked by the new Republican Minority with a record number of filibusters. The very thing they railed on Democrats for when the roles were reversed. Like I said, they're all to blame.

While I believe in term limits for Congress, I feel Americans are doing a poor job of using the term limit already offered them: The Ballot. Want to send a message to Washington? Lay aside which party you like and vote out the incumbent, even if you like him better than his opposition. 435 new Representatives. 1/3 of the Senate replaced. If all the Congressional districts did that in November the "new" Congress would be forced to step in line and do a better job serving the people who put them there.

If you're going to hate America, don't just hate one party. If ever this country needs God's blessings, it is now. Because both parties are ripping it apart.

For the record, Truman, who ordered the nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, was a Democrat. Not to mention that The Manhattan Project was under his Democratic predecessor, Roosevelt. Lyndon Johnson was behind Vietnam. Janet Reno was behind Waco.

Meanwhile I haven't given up on my country. George W. Bush WILL be out of office on January 20, 2009. He has NOT been named Chancellor for Life. That is the primary indicator that things are not as dire as they seem.

New Hampshire Primaries.

Things are not quite what they seem. The number of delegates is dependent on the "winner take all" vs. the "apportioned delegates" which varies from state to state. Screw what the pundits, OP-ED pieces and polls say. Two of the most important bookmarks you can make right now are:

Democratic scorecard
Republican scorecard

Interesting that Romney is in the lead, with three times what McCain boasts and almost twice what Huckabee boasts. People say that the demise of the electoral college would equal the demise of campaigning in the small states, but I assert that this has already happened anyway, with Giuliani's "Big State" strategy. You don't hear about those small states on the news, or that Romney currently holds the lead by a comfortable margin. What you hear is that he's a two-time loser. Bollocks.
